The timer idea sounds really good to me, but just Sauron as a Ring hero for all evil factions doesn't sound nice. While all the evil factions sorta worship him, hes mostly a mordor theme. So, heres a hectic mess of my ideas::::

Mordor: Sauron
Isengard:Saruman - grow more powerful
Goblins: Ancalagon the Black Dragon, Glaurung the first Dragon, the Balrog of Khazad-dum, Boldog the Maiar in orc form, Carcaroth- huge wolf which kills Huan, holy hound of the first age, Smaug- Dragon of Erebor, Shelob- she would consume the ring and grow powerful

No, unfortionately, there's no time for that. That will be for Beta 4.8 =)
4.7 is mostly about EvilMen and some polishing like new Heroes... changes here and there, like no Drakes, and so on...

Personally, given how the ring had not power over Tom Bombadill, I think he should be the Ring hero for the good side. Give him the powers Galadrial has in her ring form along with his normal power and he'd be a great ring hero. That way the good guys still have an awesome ring hero but Galadrial is still in game without her shiny goofy appearance.

I like the balrog of Khazad dum,but how will he come out of the fortress?i like Caracaroth,if you have wolf riders, why not a hero to give them leadership?

The Balrog will never be a Hero and thus never exit the fortress. Balrogs will be summoned as usual

How a wolf or a Balrog would be able to wear a ring, is beyond my imagination... :xd:

I assume SS meant that he wants a hero that have Leadership to Wolf-RIDERS? And not a wolf as a hero (I hope?) hehe. And at least one of the Moria heroes will have that. This is the wrong thread for normal hero talk though.

Regardless, the lore says NOONE can weild the Ring except Sauron... so, I might go for Saruman for Isen, but other than that... naaah. Still not very likely. I want something else for Good sides

Thats why I suggested Tom Bombadil... in the books it said that the ring knew nothing of him and therefor had no control over him. Elrond himself said that Tom would be the perfect guardian - but Gandalf said that he'd eventually loose interest in it.

Still he's just a suggestion, the timer option for either side sounds kinda complicated to code... too bad we can't just put it in the castle and use it to UPGRADE Galadriel! lmao! :xd:

Actually, that he'd forget about it :p

Well, if the Ring had no Power over him, how could he wield it and use it? It's not a bad idea though, and it might work now that we no longer have Sûl to code for us...

The ring couldn't CONTROL him - the book says nothing about HIM not being able to control IT

Feels highly unlikely that "little" Tom could weild something made by a Maiar :thumbsupsmiley: But why not. It's far better than Galadriel, and it might work very well in wait for a "new" Sûl to join us...

If nothing else it makes FAR more sense than Galadriel doing something that - in the book - she out and out refused to do.

Have you already thought about boromir?

He was the only one of the fellowshipo that was really weak to the ring.He would be the one to get the ring and use it.

And i generally think that sauron would be stronger than any other one if he had the ring,so i think you coudmake the mens hero weaker and add another special ability

For the 100th time: We will NOT have any Ring Heroes of "ordinary" sort! This has been decided like over a year ago :)
Maybe Bombadil could replace Galadriel for now, but the final idea is something other than Ring Hero for Good sides, and Sauron only for Evil sides - maybe Saruman for Isen, tops. Other than that you all might as well stopp suggesting and read this thread from the beginning instead :thumbsupsmiley:

Bormir could never ever have used the Ring. And noone else for that matter, even if they thought they could. I find the idea of Ring Heroes rather off the charts compared to the lore, so I'd like to have something else that involves the destruction of the ring for Good sides. But that's for later. I think I'll use Tom for now though..

Personally I don't think there should be ring hero's at all *shrug* it sucks playing Mordor with no Sauron unless you get lucky enough to catch that dratted Gollum

The whole ring hero deal was another of EA's dumb idea's :p but if we have to use it, Nazgul is right, at least Tom makes more sense then the options we've got now.
