The battering ram we all know and love was later named after this mace in the 3rd age. Since a summon Morgoth power for Sauron is being considered, I thought these few sentences gave food for thought as far as his powers would go. You can see where I'm going with this...In the First Age, Grond was the great mace of Morgoth Bauglír, the first Dark Lord, who wielded it when he fought with Fingolfin, High King of the Noldor Elves. With every blow from the mace that struck the ground, a crater was formed.

Here's my favourite art of him, one heavily armoured and the other one more "in the flesh"...
This will most likely not happen though, for several reasons, but it's fun to fantasize sometimes

- Spell Book Power (best way, I agree)
- More expensive than the Balrog, say 35 SP's
- Use the Sauron model as base, remodel into the look of the 1:st pic...
- Scale the model to what would be as big as, or slightly bigger than the Balrog...
- When pressing the "Summon Master/Open Void" (or some cool name), this would happen:
1) The FX of the storm from Galadriels Tornado Spell is used (without lightning), with the wind audio, but recolored into the fire red/orange tones of the art above...
2) In this firery storm wind, use parts of the Balrog summon FX when Morgoth arrives seconds later...
3) When the Morgoth model fades in, the storm will follow him wherever he goes...
4) For the attack, one anim would do, and it should look something like the idle anim of Dain when he swings his axe into the ground. When Morgoth's enormous mace hits the gorund the FX of the Rain of Fire's ground hit (the expanding explosion) should play as EVERYTHING within a certain radius is completely annihalated...
5) After 30 seconds the Void would close and Morgoth would be "sucked" back in, and reload for this power would be gigantic, like 30 mins.
That's how I would like it...
(PS, don't gimme all the lectures about Morgoth being stuck in the Void please... I KNOW that. This is just a game and I'm trying to think of cool ways to experience as much LOTRs as possible within the same game. Just like I did when I "added" Smaug...)

It just sounds uber-cool to me... would require a lot of work, though, I think... making high-textures for such a huge model and doing all that FX-Stuff... but still, it would be a great addition for Beta V

Also someone was asking about who was in the two pictures that Nazgul posted. The first one is Fingolfin not Feanor. And I do believe the second one is Hurin. If I remember right Hurin was cursed to sit in Morgoth's realm to see Beleriand but not be able leave Angband so that picture would have been Morgoth torturing Hurin.

Sounds like you got it all covered. I have no suggestions to improve it since it sounds pretty cool. Hope we can do it.
Edit: Hey, that quote I said there would be pretty cool in the Read Me thing as a caption for an ingame picture of Morgoth. Feel free to use!

He wuld cause a destruction too great to fight against. He is a Vala, deceased, but still a Vala, and the most powerful of them. I imagine him destroying the entire battlefield with just a couple blows. Even thought I really like it, this would be too much power. But, if you decide to put it in the mod, dude, I'm really going to have a great time with him.
I have a doubt about the library system. Is it going to be an upgrade for the fortress or a new building?
And another one: when beta V is going to be ready? Would you let the beta 4.5 de downloaded?

Off course you're entitled to your opinions and you are 100% free to disagree with things I/we do for this mod. I don't mind that. What/when I mind is when people disagree in a harsh tone or even agressive or lecturing tone. Your disaproval was kind and fair and to the point without being "mastering". I don't mind those Just don't expect me to follow them, heheNaz, I know that you are going to kick my ass, but Morgoth is a bit off the lore. =P

- Librarys will be new structures
- Beta 4.5 is out in 1,2 maybe 3 weeks. It all depends on how much we ad and fix. The longer we wait, the better it will get.
- Beta V doesn't have any rel date. It will be way ahead though... like winter time, so that's why 4.5 must be really good cause it's gotta last long. That is the plan.

If you are going to implement the minifactions, I think that a good way to do it would be like upgrades. Having two options of minifactions, you should choose only one, wich would make a big diference in the gameplay.
Ex:
Playing with Dwarves. Their minifactions could be Iron Hills and Blue Mountains, been Erebor (the biggest realm) the core faction. Then, you do an upgrade to then be able to build the minifaction's units and structures (to me the best would be no more than 5 new units or structures per minifaction.). The iron hills are focused in siege, been able to build the best siege machines in game, and the blue mountains in meele combat (or economy, this is just an exemple). Then, the minifaction you choose would directly affect the strategy, like upogrades and new units, and etc. Of course this would require a HUGE work to implement, but in the end this could be the diference of this mod. Like, you can play Dwarves X Dwarves, but you wouldn't been battling exactly the same units you are producing, like fighting a mirror. I have a couple ideas for the minifactios, like the dwarves (already mentioned), MotW could be Dol Amroth and Rohan, Mordor could have three (Minas Morgul, harad and khand) or two (minas morgul and evil man), the goblins could have Gundabad and Moria, and so on.
But for sue this would be for a future mod (like VI).
