I'm not really sure about the lancers. But i like the Corsair ideas! ;) I should be able to make them garrison pirate ships exclusively. Either they will then provide a LD bonus, or maybe they will assume the standard archer firing positions for the ship, firing bows instead of bombs. Or maybe fire their bombs in addition to the standard bows. Not sure how to make them hijack another boat though. Nice idea, but i wouldn't see them drive an elven ship. I guess they would rather sink it with axes and move on.

hmm....seems naval warfare may be becoming even more....awesome. Just one question tho...will we ever see unique ships for all the factions? I really like how you've changed the current ones, but it'd be cool to have more varieties.

ooh, and if ever possible, could you put people on the ships, so they aren't ghost ships?
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.

I was talking with my friends about things that could add to the new mod, I looked around to see if anyone had already suggested this but didn't see it so I apologize if it's already been suggested... But we would like it if Allies could connect walls to each other's wall hubs. (sounds kind of gay huh) ^_^ I don't know if it even possible but it sure would be nice to be able to connect walls.

Yes! Each faction should have it's own navy! ^_^
I can't imagine the dwarves asking the elves for their ships...
The Goblin ones could be raft like, the dwarven ones from Esgaroth, they had ships there, the MotW from Dol Amroth.
But I cannot think of one for Isengard. :p
Also I think that is a bit strange the ships sailing with no crew. If this can be changed, pleeeease do so!
About other subject, I would like to know when version V is going to be released. I barely can wait for it!

And again, I must say: this mod ROCKS!

Unique navys would be very hard, but cool. Also seeing archers on warships would be great!

As for the Consair, heres my ideas.
-Pirates can enter Consair Transports or Consair Warships. When they enter a Warship, they increace the stregnth of the warship. When in combat, they can make the ship move right next to an enemy ship and raid it. When this happens, the ship becomes nuetrelized for a moment, and then it blows up(this explosion does not hurt other ships). The person who did the raiding then gains resources(The price of the ship+the price of any upgrades purchased). They can raid any enemy ship.

I'd love to have unique faction ships too, but that would DEFENITELY be HARD work, with TONS of modeling and retexturing, and I dare not ask our modelers about that at this stage :p Maybe for Beta V or later... But I would sure like it though and it HAS been a thought of mine too since way back ^_^

I think the best way to go here would be to ask for donations, but why would anyone wanna donate major work like that, unless we can give something equally heavy back... We'll see further on though =p

Not to go off the Pirate topic, but I have a suggestion that is very realistic and I think will majorly change gameplay.

You cant see over walls. Think about it. You walk up to a wall and can see what ever is on the other side? Wheres the realism in that? I think only an elite few units should be able to see over walls(Mumakil, Flying units, Grond, etc.). Of course when a gate is opened or a wall is torn down we should be able to see through that, but thats just common sence. What do you think?

I had that thought too, strider. but then you'd be screwed cause you yourself couldn't see over your own walls.

I like the wall hub idea, and it was somethign EA originally said they would do....but didn't.

On the subject of ships....yeah, they're harder to skin than buildings. Beta VI, if it goes that far, would be cool to have them. Goblins could get a battalion of several rafts. funtime.

Well you have towers and stuff so you can see over your own walls.

The idea is good, but I'm not sure it's doable... like Cahik said. Allthough, Sul HAS made a cool change to vision (shroud) that makes the vision/shroud open more in the direction the unit is facing... That alone is mighty cool since it ads to the "realism" too... But I like your idea. Maybe it can be done, maybe not?

I have a suggestion for the Grond maybe add archers to the Grond like in the movies

That would also be cool, but haaard work, since it involves editing the Grond model and adding functional passenger bones with anims and all, kinda like the Mumakil. I'm not a modeler, but I know it's hard... Good idea though.

PS, about the vision things... When we get the new Camera System in SEE, that Robnkarla is developing for us, the shroud might have to go completely though. Otherwise we wouldnt see the skies (I think). We'll see how it turns out =p

Let me rephrase that...

Walkable walls are tons of insane work that no one wants to do, otherwise we'd have them

yeah...walkable walls were the GORE behind bfme1, and everyone was bummed when they didn't come to bfme2. So.....sad.

Oh, and I know you guys aren't to special fortress maps yet, but when you are, could you make it where goblin warriors could climb castle walls? It might be solvable with coding....idk. still...it'd be nice. and the idea about joining your wall hubs, too, would be cool.
