Alright, there are a few things that don't make sense to me. Firstly, I think Easterlings use Scimitars, not swords. Also, the "Pikemen" should be using the nice long 9-foot Polearms that are used against cavalry. The short 4-foot ones are mostly used in close combat, I think. It would be fun to have a toggle weapon feature for them, so they could be strong vs. cavalry and swordsmen? Just a suggestion. They'd have to be more expensive, though...

Should the Kataphrakts have more armor than that?

//Gfire

- Scimitars ARE swords ;) However, that's the way I got them modeled and handed to SEE. I asked my only currently active modeler to edit them to use scimitars though. So that's already in the pipeline, but rather boring work for a modeler, so I don't wanna stress him out =p He's got more pressing matters at hand, but if I had more active Modelers on team, we'd fix it asap. I want scimitars too ;p

- Have you checked the thread a couple of pages back? The Pikemen use short pikes for close combat, the SPEARMEN use the long ones we saw in the movie - so both units have their specialities ;) No toggles...

What do you mean? :p

- Ah yes... my bad. I haven't coded for a while so I forgot the EA term :p
"Light Armor" it is... hehe

Your link disappeared :crazed: . But to release Nazgûl from this silly conversation:

http://en.wikipedia....i/Pike_(weapon)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spear

A pike is much longer than a spear and has a different purpose, thus the name is wrong.

That's a very strange looking windmill... :)

Anyways, did I read something about... Camel riders?

Edited by Allathar, 07 August 2008 - 01:26 PM.

It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Anti-cavalry, I presume, since horses were dead-scared of camels on the ancient battlefields? They could give some debuffs,

Swap means shift :)

Spearmen > Pikemen
Pikemen > Spearmen

Yes, that would be good. They don't really use them as stabbing weapons, though, so they probably aren't pikes or spears. See This for some more info. I don't really know what category of polearm these fall into, but I think they use them for hamstringing the horse, not stabbing it.

See also This. I don't know how reliable in is, though.

Are those blowpipes?

Camels running like horses..

aka

Unless you make new anims for the camels, drop the idea, please :)

Besides, on a winter map, you come wearing just underwear and riding a camel?
Horses fits everywhere, but camels are more restricted to the desert, IMO..

Details details... :D

I know camels are pace-walkers, as can horses be, even though only for show and trained by humans:

I doubt anyone would like to make new anims for a camel bone, so we'd just have to igore that detail and let them run like horses :) Personally I love the concept by GW and I think they'd make a cool addition and a way to use Mahûd for more than "just" Mûmak mounts =) If a horse can live in snow, I bet a camel could too. And the idea about them de-buffing cavalry, sounds useful :p Preferable I'd like them to have blow pipes, but same thing - no bones/anims, so it would have to be Archers.

...and Nazgul, you do know that SEE is supposed to stay to action,so the film is shown in there?...

Huh? :D

Ask RJ how he made the Mahud mountable to a mümak?Otherwise,I'm sure the Camel Riders will be cool! :D

He hasn't... He got about as far as we did. It's still left to do - if possible

change the mahud riders, they dont look good.change them into the mahud riders that ride mumakil.

by SEE staying to action,i meant if you should get more action to SEE so it can resemble the movies.the book is not full of action,PJ changed it that way.

oooh.....the camel riders should be archers, Imo. A camel is a lot bigger than a horse....sometimes...but it would make sense since you've got a lot more vision. Or....they could have slings, or...grenades (JK!!!!).
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.
