Suladan, the Serpent Lord: used to refer to the unnamed leader of the Haradrim in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings

"Southwards beyond the road lay the main force of the Haradrim, and there their horsemen were gathered about the standard of their chieftain."

"and the drawing of the scimitars of the Southrons was like a glitter of stars."

So Suladan was most likely riding a horse and his weapon was a scimitar.

Suladan's a made-up character. He'll do what we want. =P

Like Flameguard, I suspect that PJ used the lore on Suladân as an inspiration for the Mahûd that Eomer kills with the spear. The same Mahûd that also blows the horn... I'm not saying that Suladân is supposed to be a Mahûd, but that PJ might hade used the idea for that caracter =)

Actually, the name and character were created by Games Workshop (as has been said). The name "Suludan" is actually a perversion of the name of an Arabic commander from the Third (?) Crusade, Saladin.

I just say the usual thing: if it's not in the movie (or not so exact) then let it be like in the books. But I don't make this mod, so it was just a hint... ;) Besides, except for MotW there's no other riding hero that gives leadership... :)

In the movie we see Eomer kill the Mahûd, This is a reference to the book where Theoden kills the harad chieftain. This was talked about on one of the Extended Edition discs (From what i remember atleast :)).

The name Suladân was created/used by Games Workshop and is the most common name used in mods for the harad chieftain. Suladân in SEE is equipped with both a scimitar and bow.

With ALL Harad structures in game it's back to Rhûn, and...
*PHEEEEW* This was HELL to code, trying to follow Sûlherokkh's previous coding... ;) I had to open a perverted number of INI's to locate all the places he's been fiddling with, and now I have a head ache indeed :scars: ;)

Anyways... this is definitely THE coolest donation from Robnkarla and the RJ mod to SEE, when it comes to EvilMen stuff! I mean... MAH GAHD these things look good! It's really truly amazing what you can do with the skins, if you know modeleing. I have no doubt that these Walls and all their beautiful upgrades could have made it into a retail version from EA :)

So with some risk of stirring up the recent quarrel on Mod Alliances, I have to say I'm really priviliged to receive such quality help from RJ. In return I hope Rob and RJ will appreciate the Easterlings models from Lauri and the wonderful Harad models that Flameguard is producing for SEE =)

Just look at this... ;)

EDIT:
I will also insert a Catapult Upgrade, using a reskinned version of Mordor Catapult and a reskinned base from Gondor (MotW) :)

Just amazing those walls I love them ( the other stuff is good too)

Do those walls really need catapults? I don't really see the Evil Men as a faction that would use siege weapons.

Well, they have to... The Mumakil won't be sufficient for Siege. Another solution could be to give them Rams only... we'll see. We do have a Catapult model though, from Lauri :)

Currently I'm struggling to give these walls Collapsing Animations. Robnkarla did Build Ups, but with any luck I can "fool" the eye to see Collapses too, using Men wall models in the exact moment of impact. To strenghten this, I'm aslo swapping to a new texture for the Gondor tumbling walls that as far as possible use the same skin elements as the Rhun walls. Together with the explosion, fire and smoke, it all works fairly well ;)

Posted Image

EDIT:
Ah, here we go... A wall Catapult, using Gondor's hub, Mordor's catapult, and a new Rhûn skin :crazed:
Posted Image

All wall parts; hub, wall, gate, towers and cat now have collapse anims and rhun skins for those :p

Oldest question in modding ever, and the oldest answer is still the same; when it's ready!

And what was that bumped screen for? =p

What about that Troll Stone thrower for the wall pult, ai? Make it a lil less redundant...and you don't even see the troll on the thing.

@SS: Good  And yes, the Khand "samurais" will be the only Khand unit. However... their leader Uldor will be able to mount a Chariot, much like the Wainriders of Rhûn... :p

@GN: Troll stone thrower? Have no such model...

Rhûn Stables WiP in game...

If I could model, I'd add Level Ups and more details like horses and hay, railing and whatnot...
Perhaps DIGI can make a better model later on :p

Posted Image

Only Siege Works to go (needs new model though), and all Rhûn structures are ready as well. Unless I should give them a Market too, like Men

It would be the same model as Gondor though, only with a new skin for the stone walls, roofs and cloth... in case I do it.
I hate coding attributemodifiers though, so we'll see... heh
