But ok, I guess we'll need a staff meeting on how to make the Goblin riders...

There probably are wolves in Middle-earth, but the wolves Tolkien mentions as mounts for the goblins in the Hobbit were wargs. He used them as an interchangeable term at certain occasions.

Yes you would be. Orcs were allied with wargs and the kind of wolf interchangeable with the word warg, not with ordinary timber wolves. So we wouldn't be complete "heretics" if we used wolves?

1. U get 10000000000 awesome points for the goblin alternate skins. Those are absolutely awesome.
2. The reason why i think half-trolls should be gundaband orcs is cause gundaband is the capital. The bigger warriors guard the more important things. They should be scaled a little IMO, but they're great models.
3. Remember that everything across the land doesn't look the same. The wargs that the goblins used lived up north, so they'll have longer hair and bigger ears. don't necessarily have to be like Peter Jacksons wargs either, though they are awesome.
4. In an attempt to provoke enlightened debate, I'd really like to see a unique cavalry for goblins. something, that's not really all that common among the ranks of the armies in this game...I was thinking goblins could get Morian Riders (an attempt at a decent name), who rather than stab at people, throw axes. Give them really short range, but it would add some interesting flavor to the goblin's already-being-seasoned war machine. adds to the hit-and-run aspect, too. Your thoughts?
sorry for posting a book, but guild wars does this to ya.

I would say it's 99% certain that we won't ad more units to Goblins than what he have or are about to though. Goblin faction will be renamed to Moria and contain:
- Goblin Warriors (swordsmen)
- Goblin Pikemen
- Goblin Archers
- Goblin Guardians (or some fitting name for the Gundabad Warriors, which will be the Half-Trolls, scaled down)
- Goblin Wolf/Warg riders (cause I simply think it would be booring to use the Isengard Wargs again, unless we find a way to make them look different). These will replace the Spider Riders!
Heroes will most likely be:
- The Great Goblin (using Goblin King, scaled up)
- Azog <pending> (I KNOW he's dead at this time, in the books... )
- Bolg, son of Azog
^ For those two we might use a combination of CaH parts and other models...
- Firedrakes
- Shelob
That's the plan for now...

..err, what about giving the mountain giant some armor and scaling him down a bit? In the Hobbit tolkien never went into detail about them (though i'm sure he did in some otehr book =U) but right now they seem massive.
oh, and OT a bit, but i just realized where EA got the idea for them. they're Klingons!

We won't make them smaller though, since Tolkien describes Giants as being big enough to cause storms in the mountains by throwing rocks, so basically I guess they're actually even bigger then Ents...
I'd like to have the Riders use spears yes, but we must use the Warg rider bones and anims and they will only fit swords... :/

...Could the goblins perhaps get a unit that hijacks another team's building, and if it's a production building they can produce their own troops? Sounds oped...but it could be temporary. Oh, and the goblin worker could be a human slave. Probably mentioned that before, sorry for being repetitive.

Goblins ARE orcs, but an orc doesn't have to be a goblin. It's like dogs: there are many different looks, but they're all called dogs. Same with wolves and wargs. A warg is a wolf, but a more bigger and evil one from different breed.
