Well...that's understandable. If you're walkin around low to the ground you wanna be able to hit from all directions...but the dwarves in the hobbit used swords, and it may sound kinda awkward for em, but once you see it it makes a lot more sense. Don't think of Gondorian short swords. Think more of like really big broad swords, with at least a 4-inch wide blade.

sure? animating isn't all THAT hard from what i've heard, and all you'd really have to do is redo the attack anims. That is....if you wanted to.

I don't think we will go too far in things like this. We have enough work ahead with adding new units, so changing existing ones too much will just ad to the ever growing list of things to do... =p

You be right, naz. I guess if you wanna do stuff like that that would be for the polishing phase of your mod's development, since it wouldn't really alter gameplay at all.

Anyways...I've always liked that little dwarven engineer that does everything. He's the builder, too. I wish the SAGE engine supported terriforming, cause if it did the dwarves really could build underground. But ehh, it's cool that the buildings look like components to a massive underground building.

I found a nice Worker model for Dwarves. Maybe we could use that like "Peasants" for Dwarves, spawned from the Mine Entrances... ;)

That would be VERY cool. You could call them engineers, and they could...possibly be set to auto-repair any nearby damaged building?

All factions have normal workers repairing structures ;)
These would be a counterpart to Peasants - weak, fast recruited fighers...

True, but as a race all dwarves have some feel for repairing and building structures.

At least that's the feel i've always gotten.

I'm all for it. If there is any dwarven troop type with less than total discipline, it should be the berserkers, don't you think? ;)

Nice. I was thinking that if these dwarven miners become a basic unit for the Dwarves, mabye because they're miners, if you order them into a Dwarven Mine, they increase production of that particular mine.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

Miner=great, but varying skins would be nice since they aren't all that heavily armored. Just different brightness of skin texture, different color beards, and slightly different faces. Gets rid of the Clone feeling.
