Hmpf, I don't really like the little light on top of the miner's head... But the other skins look nice, with a bit of polishing.

Yeah they will be heavily polished. The Miner would get the same leather look as the Workers. I Find the head light kinda cool. It muct be an oil lamp I guess, and they do work in the mines so...

I'd put the miners in a battalion of 3-5. I remember that in the Deluxe mod you could build miners, but they where pretty useless.

I was thinking that if these dwarven miners become a basic unit for the Dwarves, mabye because they're miners, if you order them into a Dwarven Mine, they increase production of that particular mine.

That's what I said on the previous page.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

I think we're gonna have them IN the mines and come OUT of them, instead of the other way around ;)

I have no idea... We'll see when we get to them. But feel free to suggest =) That's not a bad idea. We could give them Mithril that way maybe...

The miner reminds me a lot of Dain's warriors in the Hobbit, with their heavy mattocks and such. Perhaps it shouldn't be a miner at all, but rather a heavy-arms troop? Alas, though, dwarves still need early game infantry, so peasants they should be.

BTW do they have attack anims?

Same with TDP's Khazad Guard actually; excellent model but too bright colors for the SEE theme... ;p

~ They are not so bright ingame, you should test them and see by yourself, then take a decision ;)

About the miner, we used them in DE, so I have a model already binded to guardian skeleton if I remember right!

wow, it's like a bunch of little light poles thumping about ;)

You could use them as an early game infantry for the dwarves. Giving them the ability to repair structures like hte pesants. And maybe just the mithril heavy armor upgrade, instead of forged blades/seige weapon upgrade. That way they can take more damage and still rebuild structures, and not become too strong on the battlefield (sounds like early-game to me).

Ha, they look beautiful. I also like the colors, especially since they are not originally combat units. And i do remember dwarves liked bright colors. Sad to see that it got lost in the movies. It was more an elven show, hehe. ;)

Yeah what's right, red, yellow, green etc... they like colours, it's easier to see a dwarf in mines thanks to that ;)

But why would some Dwarves with little lamps on their head (easy target btw) fight with a pickaxe?

MS, in the hobbit they fought with mattocks, which are big picaxes. taking advantage of the lower center of gravity. Problem is.....you're still short.
