Yes to both... and Stonehelm and Oakenshield are the same person wink.gif

Actually, no, they aren't :grin:

Oakenshield: The King of Durin's Folk who led his people to reclaim Erebor from Smaug; slain in the Battle of Five Armies.

Stonehelm: The surname and title used by Thorin III, the son of Dáin Ironfoot. He became King under the Mountain at the time of the War of the Ring, when his father was lost in the Battle of Dale.

You just gave me a proof that I had it right :grin:

From Screenshot thread

He will have powers like:
- Leadership to all Dale units!
- "Dead Eye" or some kind of cool name for a sniper shot
- Cripple Strike (like Lurtz's)

- and MAYBE we coould spawn a single bird from him (based on crebain maybe), kind of like the falcon in the pic, and have it give extended shroud vision
^ I think that would work good =)

I would suggest
Level 1, Leadership for Dale.
Level 4, Helpful Thrush, Summons Thrush with good vision range. (With timer or permanent)
Level 7, ??? Maybe Cripple Shot or something
Level 10, Black Arrow, Single powerful shot, does extra damage to monsters.

Wrong!
Thorin Oakenshield is the son of Thrain II (died in Dol Guldur, he had the last of the seven dwarves rings).
Thorin Oakenshield is died while the battle of the five armies (Bilbo le Hobbit)

Thorin Stonehelm is the Dain Ironfoot son, his father is died at the battle of dale (at the same time that the battle of minas thirith and the black gate). So Thorin Stonehelm is still alive :grin:

About Balin, he's died in 2994, the fellowship of the ring takes place in 3018.

Haven't read the books since Man crawled out of the water for the first time... kinda :mad2: But - explain this:

Thorin fought at the Battle of Azanulbizar in 2799. It was there that he earned the name Oakenshield when his shield was broken and he used the branch of an oak tree in its place. Thorin was wounded and his brother Frerin was killed, but in the end the Dwarves were victorious. Nevertheless, the Dwarves did not reclaim Khazad-dum because of Dain Ironfoot's warning that Durin's Bane, the Balrog, still lurked within.

Taken from Thain's Book ^

it's wierd.... but hey

2799
Battle of Azanulbizar. Thorin is wounded and earns the name Oakenshield for using an oak branch as a shield.

okay, and this (at the Dwarves page itself :grin:)

King under the Mountain at the start of the Fourth Age. Thorin Stonehelm was born in 2866. He was the son of Dain Ironfoot. In his youth he most likely lived with his father in the Iron Hills. Dain became King under the Mountain after the death of Thorin Oakenshield in 2941. Thorin Stonehelm joined his father at the Lonely Mountain at some point.

During the War of the Ring, the Lonely Mountain was attacked by Easterlings allied with Sauron. Dain was killed in the Battle of Dale on March 17, 3019, and Thorin Stonehelm became King under the Mountain. Thorin and the Dwarves barricaded themselves in the Lonely Mountain along with the Men of Dale until they received word of Sauron's defeat. Then, on March 27, Thorin and King Bard II of Dale led their people forth from the Mountain and drove the enemy away.

Thorin Stonehelm sent an ambassador to the coronation of Aragorn, King Elessar, on May 1. The Lonely Mountain remained an independent realm under the protection of King Elessar, and they maintained friendly relations.

Names & Etymology:
Thorin III was called King under the Mountain because he was the leader of the Dwarves who lived in the Lonely Mountain. He was also the leader of the Dwarves of the line of Durin and as such was called the King of Durin's Folk.

The origin of the nickname Stonehelm is not known.

Stonehelm and Oakenshield is two different dwarves :mad2:

But, they're just names, so names can be changed in the last minute if we consider it to be really needed =)

I have a suggestion for dwarves!
Please, for the love of good, give them differerent beard-colors!!! i can't see the white-bearded axethrowers anymore :p there is no need of having different models or skins (like mordor-orcs), just different beard-colors. Probably black, dark brown, light/fair (dunno how this is called in english) brown, dark blonde, light blonde, red and white

oh, and why not give a dwarven hero a sword? this would make a cool variety :p

^ Coming up... hopefully. The problem is that EA codes doesn't rellay support random skins (which this would be) when upgrading to HA. For that we need to create a lot of extra coding which is known as "child objects". Booring work... but we'll fix it eventually =p

We'll get to that when you've come up with some more varied skin things. I'll put the Mirkwood Archers on my ToDo-list though. I'll start it after we've merged our files.

absolute nonsense :p did you ever saw rohirrim codes?
RandomTexture = RUHorse01.tga 0 RUHorse03.tga
RandomTexture = RUHorse02.tga 0 RUHorse03.tga
RandomTexture = RUHorse03.tga 0 RUHorse03.tga
RandomTexture = RUHorse04.tga 0 RUHorse03.tga

Behavior = SubObjectsUpgrade Armor_Upgrade
		TriggeredBy				= Upgrade_RohanHeavyArmor
		UpgradeTexture			= RURohrm01.tga 0 RURohrm01HA.tga
		UpgradeTexture			= RURohrm02.tga 0 RURohrm02HA.tga
		UpgradeTexture			= RURohrm03.tga 0 RURohrm03HA.tga
		UpgradeTexture			= RURohrm04.tga 0 RURohrm04HA.tga
		RecolorHouse			= Yes
		ExcludeSubobjects		= Forged_Blade
	End

blah..everyone knows those codes. firts one randomizes skins and the second one replace specific textures with their HA version.

at least 8 textures works for sure, cause this number is used by ea. i am not sure how many textures have Cel for them in TEA but i think that it is more then 8. but i guess that 8 covers enough variances for unit.
