and thats what im speaking of, peasant should look common, aboslutely normal, like any willager that spends his day on the field, or around domesticated animals.

but maybe they could use some reskin, to look more poor, some dirt, torn clothes ( after all they were fleeing soo it gives some sense )
"Let this scar signify the first blow against the mortal world."
"From this seal shall arise the doom of men,"
"who, in their arrogance, sought to wield our fire as their own."
"Blindly they build their kingdoms upon stolen knowledge and conceit."
"Now they shall be consumed by the very flame they sought to control."
"Let the echoes of doom resound across this wretched world, that all who live may hear them and despair."

"Tremble, mortals, and despair! Doom has come to this world!"

Does anybody else think Gamling is in need of at least a health buff?

I don't know, maybe? I've never really had to babysit him like I do with Theoden though :shiftee: . <But I've been told (correct me if I'm wrong) that that's being changed.

Which, Theoden or Gamling?

Theoden I think is...I posted a major rant on rohan a while back and he featured in it. Not sure rob ever said anything one way or the other though.

Gamling....idk, I never get him or hama. I just stick to the bfme1 heroes :shiftee:

I've played Rohan in WOTR and I've noticed Gamling has low HP. But I guess there's a remedy since I have either Hama or Radagast in his army. Plus, he's kind of slow when fighting, possibly CAH related maybe? Enemies have to be close to him for him to attack automatically.

Theoden did use to have low hp in vanilla ROTWK, I believe.

Theoden :shiftee: . Sorry I guess that wasn't clear. I don't want to bring up any Theoden rants, because I've already done my share and you and I would probably repeat the same stuff over again.

I have never had any trouble with Gamling. He's a ranged hero (which is nice for Rohan) so he's usually far away from harm. Like all of the other mounted archers, you just have to make sure that pikemen don't get close.

Shadow, Theoden has still died on me like crazy since ROTWK (and its updates!) and this mod (just means that Rob hasn't looked at him yet, I hope :)). By the way, how did you get Rohan to work in War of the Ring mode? Or are you talking about the campaign?

@Scryer
Agreed, Theoden is still highly killable, just not as much for me. My guess is how one uses him.

I'm actually talking about Rohan in WOTR. Strangest thing though, it would crash after I first installed the latest public version. But, like a week or so ago I was "what the hay" and gave it a try again and no crash. :shiftee: Hasn't crashed ever since when I play WOTR as Rohan. Thing is Rohan has little AI for WOTR I've noticed, in RTS battle the AI does nothing. So I didn't really do anything special to make it work in all honesty. :)

Well, at some point I might work with the fortress to add better visible upgrades and I might change it a little to incorporate the wall hubs, but that would be after the elves are done. I think I mentioned this somewhere, which is probably where the idea came from.

Because the above discussion died.....

Um, does anyone else think that Theoden's "Glorious Charge" should be a large targetable power? I realize that I do a lot of posts about Theoden, but out of all of Rohan's heroes, he's the most disappointing because of EA. I've ranted enough about him in this thread... Anyways, I was thinking and I thought that it would be nice if Theoden's Glorious Charge was a target-power because you wouldn't have to micro him into the middle of your army, and click, and hope for the best. And the target area could grow with every couple of levels that Theoden gains. Although I can see why it could defeat the "lore-edge" to the current way you'd use Glorious Charge.

Hehe...I've ranted about theoden and some other rohan heroes too, and rob's listened :crazed:

Eomer is now 1500

Theoden I think got a buff...anyway, GC is still at lvl 4 I think, but that might be changed...and rob's giving him a new passive power at a certain level that makes all surrounding units go berzerk when he dies.

It should make his allies go all crazy and slaughter everything. That's obviously what Eowyn and Merry did to Mr. WK. His enemies would only cheer about his death for a little.

And theoden wasn't dead yet when eowyn killed the WK...
