If one can choose for a particular 'alliance', all factions will cap off around the same place and each faction may as well not have a weakness. So that's the drawback.

With the system of just throwing every unused unit (which for the most part will be EA's creations that will be replaced- such as Goblin Warg Riders rather than Spider Riders) in the inn, huge imbalances will no doubt come about as each faction has those same allies.

Just penning (or typing) some thoughts.

I suggested that Westfold unit only, because I hate herald system and I wanted something to replace them in endgame :thumbsupdrool:

well iirc units from the inn are (or certainly should be) more expensive than they would be were they in the standard factions and they only come out of one building so you cant exactly pump them out really quickly. it should also be one of the most contested capturables on the map (even though its not on every map) and unless one player is totally dominating map control, you may not be able to keep it long (especially on a map like cair andros), and if one person is dominating map control, they will most likely win anyways.

its certainly a better idea than giving all the good factions hobbits and all the evil factions wights.

Well, just to stick to the idea that Rob would incorporate 1 of the 2 ideas mentioned in my previous post, may I suggest that:

For the first system of 'alliances', each faction needs a careful selection, not just every good faction.

For the second system of 'unused units', there needs to be a control on what units are available to what faction.

Just my two cents.

I don't want to look all over for this, but is it just me or does Rohan have no AI? Whenever I play them as an npc, they don't even begin to build. Also they can't have any heroes.

Did I install funky or...?

AI not put in to every map I'm guessing. Did I hit the mark? If I did, what's the prize?

Yes, Rohan doesn't have AI in for example map Lostiriand but (if my memory is correct) in maps Evendim and Rhun they have ( I have not played all maps)

I think that you should make the scout riders for rohan have a full battalion rather than just 3 people, they cant even be a horde

We discussed the scout riders before in this thread and we kind of glanced at the idea of them being able to get upgraded into axemen riders.... *Goes to re-read those pages*

Oh gosh. I don't even want to think about rereading some topics. I remember when we a fuss over arrows and uruk-hai. That topic was so heated that I'd come back to a topic after a day and there would be two pages of posts.

Back on topic, I'm not sure why at all Rohan has Radagast. He doesn't even live near them. He lives near the Carrock, which is closer to Mirkwood and Erebor. And he seems to be on speaking terms with the Dwarves; Thorin calls him "not a bad fellow".
I don't know why, but I think he'd be better off as a Dwarven hero. It just clicks better. And besides, the Dwarves don't have many unique heroes. They're all pretty generic, especially the two new ones. Radagast would be a breath of fresh air.
