What are you talking about dude? :p I think we're both rather confused about what the other one is saying.

A minute ago you were saying wargs were mutated wolves, now you're saying their names are interchangeable? :p :p

I think that all of these points are good and valid, but that is also due to the fact that the books are not clear and much of this is up to speculation. I agree that the names are interchangable, but lets take a new outlook on the situation. Instead of debating on the situation, let's create a new definition :p . Wargs are no different than large wolves that can be mounted and are allies to the Goblins. Isengard Wargs are a creation of Saruman's, mutated for a purpose of being able to take on Rohan's more numerous Horsemen and being able to support a larger weight... You understand the idea, therefore use creativeness AND diversity (While not ruining the authenticity of the mod) :p ... I hope that I could be of help :p

You are all forgetting what I said, Warg/Wolf Riders, not Wolf Riders. Just make them ride Wolves, no need for a huge debate.

You can't ride a wolf. It would break its back, or you would get thrown off. It is a matter of science. We can't have wolf riders. That is why the model looks so dumb, b/c it is physically impossible.

We can't know what he imagined. We might have imagined real wolves but that just wouldn't work. He was a master of language and writing. A genius by any account, but not a scientist. It would seem like you could ride a wolf but you can't really. So there has to be some kind of change. Whether it is like the wargs or not is up to debate. But no matter what the current wolf riders are impossible and have to go.

I can't make the model, but that doesn't mean we should use a total crap model like the current one. I ask you this also what other could you modify it so it was physically possible?

Idk, but until we get a model, it's not gonna be changed, and since it's pretty much a minor cosmetic thing, ed and rhiea have more important stuff to do...

You are still misunderstanding me :p I meant Wargs or Wolves, either one would work for me. But since you have proven that Wolves are impossible, just make it Wargs, it isn't that hard :p

Well wolves are very narrow slender creatures so to ride them in any conceivable way would be next to impossible unless we add some more muscle or bulk to them, the only compromise would be to change their shape slightly to look as if they could support a goblin, perhaps also changing the head to keep more in line with the creatures in the movies....

Goblin Warg Riders is a definate good idea that fits with both the Lore and the mod, but you need to keep the Spider Riders too. Nazgul eliminated them from the game and replaced them with Isengard Warg Riders, which is disgraceful. Goblins should have two sorts of cavalry - the light Warg Riders, that can Howl, crush enemies and can recieve Heavy Armor and Forged Blades, and Spider-Riders, that can toggle between bow and sword, and recieve both Poison, Forged Blades and Fire Arrows.
They should also have two sorts of creatures - Spiderlings and Wargs.
This makes a lot of sense, because the Goblins are shown as an ally-reliant race, like Arnor. They ally with Wargs, Spiders, Trolls, Giants, Half-Trolls, Dragons...

What I always hated about the movies is that they portrayed the Goblins and Orcs as very weak individually, while in the books they simply aren't. In the Hobbit, Goblins are shown as just as tough as the Dwarves and Men. And Goblins can be sneaky, too - some special ones crept up on the company using stealth. And they're supposed to be clever, and ingenuitive at making weapons of war, a bit like Isengard. Perhaps some siege units would be in order...

Why exactly should goblins have spider riders?
