The Goblins of the Misty Mountains were never allied with "half-trolls", spiders, or Men (well, that's debatable (Men of Carn-Dum and all)).

They are shown as weak individually, with the exception of their leaders.

Apart from the model looking, I always thought it looked rather odd to have goblins perched on giant spiders, given the nature of spiders in general, they even eat their own mates/young for goodness sake, I doubt they'd tolerate a goblin riding on their backs. :xcahik_:

Get rid of Spider Riders please! It's against the lore and common sense :xd:

Like Ed of the 3rd Kind said "they even eat their own mates/young for goodness sake, I doubt they'd tolerate a goblin riding on their backs."

It just fits with the whole idea of the Goblins, that they ally with natural, malevolent creatures to fight their common enemies.

Why would a spider ally with goblins?
They could just have eaten them.. :p
Not necessary good meat, but they need to eat..
There's no leads anywhere that goblins are allied with spiders, and I would find it silly if they were allied... :p
I mean, Shelob wasn't even allied with Sauron... :D And they're neighbors..
Goblins and spiders aren't living that close to each other ;)
Yes, I know... distance between each other isn't a major plot in an alliance, but still ;)

In The Return of the King, there seems to be some sort of vague suggestion by Tolkien that Shelob may have had a loose relationship with Gollum in that she wouldn't eat him if he brought food. Though it was also due to Gollum being of very little edible substance himself.

And gollum is a goblin? :p

While I agree with lauri, 'goblins' is more of a wild faction, so I think spiderlings should be included with the rest of the monsters and villains.

can just point out that on the wolf-warg topic in the hobbit it states that wargs were just another name for wolves and it is peter jacksons adaption which has created two different creatures when actually they are the same thing.
Egalmoth wore a blue mantle upon which the stars were broidered in crystal.
The leader of the House of the Heavenly Arch.
Alone of all the Noldor, he used a curved sword.

The people of the Heavenly Arch was arrayed in many colours and their arms were set with with jewels and their shields was blue as the sky.Egalmoth got out of the burning Gondolin and came to the Mouth of Sirion

Aye. Oh, and Shelob spared Gollum because he could be used to lead food to her...and he wasn't very edible himself (skin and bones and all).

I think wargs fit more to goblins than wolves

They are arguably the same thing, wargs and wolves.

No, once or twice Tolkein states that they are/resemble kind of a cross between Bears and Wolves, and are very dangerous. Stronger than wolves, in any case.

True, this topic has been brought up time and again. During my time here, I would estimate no less than three times. Look at any topic, Hasfusel's suggestions are always radical changes to the mod's. Hasfusel, I would suggest that you need to calm down, and think that other people also want the mod their way, but we have to reach common grounds. :)

Wargs = Big wolves with their own language
Wolves = Normal wolves without their own language

Other than that, I don't think there are any differences :p
Wargs are wolves, simple as.. no crossbreeding, just... slight difference :D
