Yes, I was planning and have everything for an oliphant herd. They are not meant to be siege but meant to be an open area massive damage unit. They do less trample damage than the mumakil's but they move a little faster.
There are three things I REALLY am looking for and need to finish up Evil Men:
1) Long range siege. Looking into ballista type, but I am open for anything.
2) Black serpant (he will not be named saludan)
3) Sorcerer tower/sanctuary. Their own building. I was thinking of using the port, but it is completely out of place even with FX and new textures.

Dzhon - it would be very interesting to see where this would go. I've got most of the faction figured out, but there is so much room for things to change. The Blue wizards I'm trying to figure out how they will fit in exactly. While I have powers for them and they are set up and i hope to have a pp spell for them, I would like to fit them in as a mini-mini faction. (The wizards & the sorcerers.) The idea is that they are not completely with the Evil Men factions, but have their own cult they've set up where they can join the fight.

I like that idea alot. but i have a few questions...
1. Will the Blue Wizards be able to be recruited by any faction or is it just the Evil Men faction?
2. If its available for all factions, would it be like a special building like the one from your revisted BFME 1 maps?
3. If they are purchased/hired will the enemy be able to recruit them as well? Meaning like if one person already has say Pallando on the battlefield can they summon Pallando as well, if they capture the Magical Cult Building lol?

hey sponintz if you took the time to read over your posts to make them be readable it would be greatly appricated thanks
sum of ur spellings r off, perhaps its just typos. u kinda use a lot of commas, and u hav yet 2 discover the semicolon; a wonderful little piece of punctuation. u also hav sum oddly structured sentences sumtimes. for example
and the longer the posts, the mor problems ppl hav w/ them bc they get annoyed whil readin and thers mor stuff in ther 2 criticize. also, if u get into the habit of makin rly long posts, u get started rambling and ur sentences stop makin sense (c above example).
puncuation helps a whole lot, as well as spelling stuff out and being less random with how you organize ur posts
Noooo!!!!! wat have I ever done to deserve this!!!!! :pissed:
I feel like such an outsider.... no one would understand my (......)'s :(
its not my fault i personally prefer a million commas and .'s over stupid retarded ;'s i mean <-those stuff are like neither this nor that! they 're like ... an inbetween!!

Okay 2 things that really please me and "displease" me
1 thing that pleases me: oliphaunts aren't siege but instead "open area massive damage unit" and aren't turtles.
Another thing that pleases me is that Rob is looking at a ballista type siege which as i said b4 would help to differentiate the faction a bit (Rob u better make it look cool!)
1 thing that displeases me: oliphaunts are hordy :(
Another thing that displeases me: The addition of Blue Wizards' part in Evil Men is currently quite confuzing (or at least to me) any one wanna clear up for me exactly wat role they have?
Thnx - Ur luving mate: Spointz

allathar: i really lik lorgan, i used it as a name 4 1 of my easterling CaH's
fehik: interesting, if not a tad long. wer did u get it frum; dos it mean anythin?
spointz again: ther r sites lik that, but they mostly just do elven names or dwarven names. the prob is that tolkien mentions vry few MotE specifically, as his books concentrate on the free peoples.

This is a forum, not an IM-program, and people have no desire to get used to your special language just so they can quickly understand you. Take your time to construct proper messages if you wish to be taken seriously. Thanks.

I'm liking a lot of the name suggestions. I'm going to go through and compile all the variations that I have and make a choice hopefully for 1.05.03.
As for the Oliphant herds (hordes), I'll just ask for you to play them in game and see if you like them or not. Many might like them and many might not, so we'll just see.
For the Blue Wizards, right now I have 2 heroes, the sorcerer/acolyte horde (currently WIP) and their building which I need to change. It's all of how I want to use them in Evil Men. Do I want to make it so you have to somehow persuade them to join your forces? Should they be part of Rhun or Harad?
One of the things I've thought about is that the sorcerers and the blue wizards are only playable once you've bought a 5pp or 10pp power that forms a sort of alliance. Also, maybe I might add them as an alliance faction to the inns that is available to all good and evil factions and remove them completely from Evil Men.
There are just sooo many paths to use for them, I just was curious of what everyone would like. For now I was just adding them to EvilMen, but I am very easily persuaded on this topic.

sorry if we made you feel like that. we're probly coming down hard on you a bit cause you're new here, but there is some merit to what people are saying. it was never our intention to make you feel like an outsider tho
EDIT: awww, rob beat me to posting :(

@Rob; i like the idea of the Blue wizards being an inn alliance, but instead of both wizards being available; maybe 1 wizard would go with the Free Peoples, and One, the Forces of Darkness, just a thought. as for units, for the good one, maybe some group of eastern Elves, as not all elves went west. for the evil one, men of harad and rhun. Just a thought.
As 4 that, it reminds me.... did Tolkien shape his "Middle-Earth" fundamentally after the real world in life? I mean if you think about it - the elves are much like the western European whites... - classic. Meanwhile, the Eastern Men and Orcs symbolize perhaps the people in life - of the Eastern reaches of Earth (Middle-Easterners, and Azns). And welll... the Motw who are pretty much stuck in the middle relate to the Americans, while dwarves could possibly be Russians (as the base western European alliance did get together with the russians time and time again, but they always kept a strong distrust and misconception). Additionally, the hobbits uh... well... could be say the Dutch (hehe, j/k saying that in how the Dutch are so tall, while hobbits are extremely short) idunno.... well that was my little "analogy" session so well thnx for reading!

Having said that, his works are so based off Western European folklore and mythology (particularly Nordic and British) that real world parallels are unavoidable. Tolkien rejected the idea of his books being connected to the World Wars and what not, though.
