i think u should proably only add 2 or 3 missons b4 moria.First is u start outside bagend with frodo and sam then u go through shire to the place where they found merry and pippen. Then have those 4 and then next misson start it would be bree+weathertop (weathertop is place where nazgul stabbed frodo).Last would be arwen bringing frodo to rivendel and when u get to rivendel u see the intro of the council then you bring fellowship to moria and intro of watcher then moria misson starts.

well having a mission where all you do is walk some hobbits over to some other hobbits would be a tad boring and wouldnt serve much of a purpose imo. other than that one, a weathertop mission and an avoid-the-nazgul type mission could work.

I don't want to see things THAT in depth... The only reason people liked Shelob's lair in BFME is because you laid siege to the tower of Cirith Ungol with some Gondorians. Or that's my belief at least.

I think people liked it cause it was different from all the build a force and kill the enemy missions...

Well, I never liked small action like that. I loved the mission but what sucks it that it will definately have to be altered for linear. But at least Minas Tirith will be awesome. Also, I feel this must be brought back up... NEW MT MAP. Even if you aren't using NJM's, at least quickly put one together with one enterance to the 2nd level and a gate leading into it.

EXACTLY!! Which is why we need a few of those economic missions I've been talking about.

Haha, Rav, you beat me to it  .

I'm a huge fan of adding some more FOTR missions. But like the others said, they would have to be missions that don't have objectives such as "walk over and talk to some hobbits here".

This is a question for the team: There was some talk about there being a Gandalf vs. Saruman mission in Isengard.. Is this still being added in? If not, I can understand but it could be an idea to consider..

What about the ability to choose who is in the fellowship?

I like that idea but Gandalf never drew his sword, so it may be wise to just give him Saruman's anims, skin his sword in to be on his belt in a sheath.

I don't even think he had his sword with him. I believe he left Glamdring with Butterbur in Bree.

He left it in Rivendell, IIRC.

And I think a 'choose your own Fellowship' thing would be pretty cool for the non-linear campaign.

I guess you would choose the heroes based on who was at the Council of Elrond?

This is from the top of my head, but you would have a choice between:

-The original 9
-Gloin
-Glorfindel
-Elrond
-etc. (can you tell I'm having a lazy day?)

Sooo...You could have Boromir carry the ring and Bilbo ride to Minas Tirith? Seems kind of awkward.

Well, things only happened half like that the opposite way around. Boromir died before Minas Tirith, in case you lack the ability to remember that. Anyways, I do like things more the way they are.

He was suggesting Boromir being the Ringbearer (or at least surviving and taking the Ring) and Bilbo part of the Fellowship...

I don't think that that would work... Boromir (or any other hero) would need a new power concerning the ring. It seems like "picking your own Fellowship" would have its limits. For example you would need to have Frodo atleast (assuming that you can't switch roles in the fellowship) in order to destroy the ring.

Well...heroes are getting their own powers for the Ring :xcahik_: and it's the non-linear campaign. I won't touch it with a ten-foot pole  which means lore is more-or-less negated in it.
