The white spots are the lighter spots meant for building plot in BFME1. I assumed white spots covered it

hehe ok, well as you see I removed them. Now I only need to know how Sûl wants them named (for connection to the "models" in code). When I know that I will send them to him and I bet he can post new screens of them in game pretty soon =)

Use the notation 'I(sengard)BFloorSEE', G(ondor)BFloorSEE, E(leven)BFloorSEE, WBFloorSEE, MBFloorSEE, DBFloorSEE.

Can't wait for the files and the asset.dat!

Oh, you're still awake?? Are you slowly becoming a Wraith like me?

I will fix them at once, update the asset and send it over. You'll have it in 15 mins :p

I'll do the snow ones when we see that these work fine in game, k? :D

Do you think we might see the return of the Classic BFME defensive, mountable walls for MotW? You could do a repaint of them in a dwarfish fashion for the Dwarves and give them a slight health increase. Mabye even use the Elven Platforms like the ones in the Rivendel map for the Elven castle.

As for the Evil factions they have the thin unmountable walls around their castle with a gate.

Edit: Sorry for not posting in the Right thread, I posted here because my suggestion ties in with the screenshots

Yeah that's ok, as long as it's related to the screens =)

But no, we won't do that. This change is mostly cosmetical... no BFME1 walls will be added. Sorry. Besides it wouldn't even fit on some maps if we did. But mostly it pain in the ass work for several weeks to remodel, reskin, reanimate and all that. Working with walls sucks, and I'm really happy just having walls for each faction =p

And mountable walls have another problem, to mount on them XD
You can build a elevator, sure, but it's hard to know on which side tou're building it, if you build it on the wrong side, ennemies will mount on it, not you lol

perhaps....

You could give the fortress andresource buildings the blighted ground look, but then when you build another structure that one has the lighter color? Don't know if that's possible, since it's not round, but it would look cool.
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.

The new Goblin Pikeman Porcupine Formation (with 20 members):

A new Spiderling Formation (the old one was to 'rank and file' for my taste):

An earlier version of the Porcupine Formation with the additional 5 members in the far corners and the middle:

Whoa, those bases just look so much better with the floors ;)

@ Spider formation: That really fits them more. I think this should be done for more Goblin units, though... if you look at the Moria Goblins in the movies, they hardly walked in nice nice rows of 5 there :p

As for the formation setup, yeah, i'll do all of them in due time. All at once is just too boring for me so i fill it in when i get stuck with something else.

Now for some more Fortress Screenies:

Posted ImagePosted Image

Another Experiment: Gleaming Hot Dwarven Fire Stones en route (you better load them all and when you are finished, flip through them all really fast! :p ):

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

A second sequence

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image
Posted ImagePosted Image

Yeah, Mordor killed my other 2 skirmish AI's (we did Isengard together, but he scored the killing blow). Now he was trying me with Grond after hitting me 4 times with the Gorgoroth Spire, killing my entire Army every time. No screenies of those, they were surprise hits! :) But i could stop Grond before he could get to me:

Posted Image

Now for some bouncing balls (not the kind that come in pairs! :p ):

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Thanks to Lauri's BrezierProjectile Codes (from the cinematics i presume) and Nazgûl's dilligence in pointing out that there was only one thing missing. Which i found and applied.

A second sequence:

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image
Posted Image

Last prove that Mordor really built all upgrades, and used them. Troll with siege mace in his death rampage:

Posted Image

You may have noticed that even the Corsairs had forged blades. Even the Mûmakil had bought the 'War Gear', and the AI had built Grond and the Spire. I tell you, this was a very sweet test game. :D
