Good point. I guess I'll wait on that until I either release the first version and/or apply for hosting.

My modeling endeavors have born fruit, slight though it is:

I shrank the crest on the helmet and moved it down to the front like the Galadhrim helmets, de-flared the sides of the helmet so it won't look so much like a bell anymore (the back is still flared), inverted the pauldrons, and lengthened the skirt. Oh, yeah, and adjusted the face vertices so his face no longer has that weird "V" look. The binding all works properly and the whole thing works just fine ingame:

The Banner Carrier still uses the old model, but that will be remedied in time :twisted: .

I tried to give him Celeborn's robe over the top of his other clothes, open in the front, with the sleeves cut back to the elbows, and while I got the model working, I couldn't manage to rig it. So I fell back to this secondary option.

I decided to give him a spear because 1) I wanted him to be melee, but unique among the Elven heroes, 2) I didn't want to try rigging him to Gandalf's skeleton to give him a sword and staff as I originally intended, and 3) the Mirkwood Elves at the Battle of Five Armies in The Hobbit use spears.

Obviously I can't show him ingame yet, since that's going to take more than just a model change!

Thanks :p . I've got him ingame now, but due to the changes I had to make to the model to fit the Mithlond Sentry skeleton, he's a good deal shorter than he used to be. How do you scale a unit up with code?

followed by number, usually i putin just before geometry at the end

Here are all the reskinned Elven heroes ingame (the only change I made to Arwen's skin was to increase the contrast):

Note the modified button art for Thranduil and Glorfindel at the bottom - their portraits are likewise updated to fit their new models/skins.

If I get my coding skills up to the point of adding new units and heroes, this lineup will definitely change :p . Off the top of my head, I'm thinking get rid of Arwen, replace her with Elladan and Elrohir, and possibly add Celeborn. I'd also like to replace the Sunflare power with a summon that brings in Galadriel and a bunch of Galadhrim, but that's really far down the road.

Oh, my modeling skills are up to it - removing those things from the model and closing up the holes is incredibly easy. It's my rigging skills that I don't think are up to the challenge - not the on-foot version, and definitely not the mounted one! However, Ed Of The 3rd Kind has kindly agreed to do the model changes to Glorfindel for me, since I'm helping him out with skins for his Star Wars mod :p .

Oh, I'll definitely release it. I'll probably apply for hosting here sometime in the near future. I guess it's just a question of how much I want to have done before I make a first release - Now that I know how to model, there are all sorts of small model changes I'd like to make. I'm thinking of reskinning/remodeling two factions (Elves and Gondor) before I apply for hosting and/or make a first release.

I removed the shield, created a new sword out of Glorfindel's sword blade and a section of Thranduil's bow ( :lol: ), and rigged the model to the Elven Warrior skeleton. There are some poke-through problems with the attack anims, but otherwise they work fine.
