Then the start in box would be this as he wrote:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"
Now that all makes sense, since for people that the default installation folder which would be that what I just said above.
Now I packed the see folder into :C like he said, but why when I put that info in the start in and target boxes I keep getting that message that the folder isn';t there. I keep getting the message that the folder in the start in box is not valid. Anyone know my problem?

On further thinking, you probably just forgot the 'space' in front of '-mod'.
It must read '... II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod ...' not '... II\lotrbfme2.exe"-mod ...'

Try this. Make a copy of the original unmodded game's shortcut. Right there on your desktop. Rename it to 'BfMe2 - SEE' or something like that. Then edit it and just add ' -mod "C:\SEE"' at the end of the target line. Maybe that will circumvent the error message. I've had that sometimes myself. It's something of MSwindows origin, nothing to do with the game.

Well really the problem I am having isn't with the target box. It's with the start in target box. It keeps saying i am having the error with Program files/Electronic arts, etc. I think the target box is fine, but for some reason the start in box won't get me any further.
@Naz- And yes I did watch the tutorial video, but for some reason I get this same error message.

The previous thread if it me was working well, but new this one was not.
I do not understand it. I have followed the steps of the tutorial and everything what It has be said here and it follows without working. If I put this route C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe "-mod" C:\SEE ", the game initiates me, but his original version. Please, I am impatient to play this new version.
Regards from spain.

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe "-mod" C:\SEE "
must instead be that:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"
There must NOT be a 'space' between ...\lotrbfme2.exe and ".
Before -mod needs to be a 'space' and after it as well.
Also there must NOT be a 'space' between " and C:.
And NO space between C:\SEE and " as well.
Can't believe there where that many mistakes in a single line, hehe.
Edit: your game started the original version because of these spelling mistakes, that was all. It couldn't find what it was looking for (the mod files) because it was looking for the wrong thing.

I have done what you say and it continues initiating the original version of the game.
Even instead of putting the route in "C:\SEE", I have put it in "D:\SEE", since my folder documents and settings I have it in D:. Of no form it initiates the mod, alone the original version.
I do not understand it

This looks an awsome mod to me but somehow it doesn't seem to work.
This is the error I get all the time:
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobuck...nobi/balen.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>
The game is in:
"C:\Tim\The Battle for Middle-earth II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"
"C:\Tim\The Battle for Middle-earth II"
The map SEE is place in C:\

Tim, you have an interesting prob. I'd bet that you need patch 1.06.
SEE is not a map...Its a mod...
I would like to encourage the normal way of installing the mod...ya know, %appdata%

Neither do I.... Maybe the Mod simply don't work on other than English versions? =p
It is possible, but ... because the beta IV if runs ok with the Spanish version of the game?.
There has to be some solution. I am charmed with the mod, and with the updates of this beta furthermore. I need to play it. help

Ok either I am very confused or maybe I am thinking right. Ok based on what Irial wrote, that the target would be in the "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"
Then the start in box would be this as he wrote:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"
Now that all makes sense, since for people that the default installation folder which would be that what I just said above.
Now I packed the see folder into :C like he said, but why when I put that info in the start in and target boxes I keep getting that message that the folder isn';t there. I keep getting the message that the folder in the start in box is not valid. Anyone know my problem?
witchkingshour,
I got the exact same thing because I pasted the path from the post on page three here. Something like a space or something else that should not be there was copied. So I just typed in how it should be and it worked. (note: I had to also install it to an alternate location because it crashed when copied to the default location)
These a straight from my shortcut that works
Target:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"
Start in:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth II"
So try unpacking to root c: and using those paths I supplied. I have used that on three computers and it works for all three.

No Clone, it's have been proven that the hidden C: folder causes even an extra amount of crashes, and reports say that the mod is more stable when placed elsewhere than in those hidden files. I thought we all decided on this?Try using the other installation method. The normal, clarified by the Manual. Not the one these new-fangled hippies came up with, with the "C:\" before SEE
Besides... this way we'll get rid of at least one of the great and annoying support issues - guiding ppl into displaying hidden files and even finding that folder...
The "C:/SEE" way, will be the new way of installing this mod... =)
Maybe a slogan for Installation >>> "I C (see) SEE"... lol

This + the fact that we (the Players) can skip that procedure of finidng the hidden folder, makes this way better
