Well sections of wall usually near the new boundaries but not always sometimes it's just random places

maybe all siege equipment en ships should have an a repair button just like some buildings have? (the repair even may cost resources)

Like I was saying, they could go back to the shipwright (by right=clicking on it while the boat is selected) and it will repair it, but for resources.

hey.
wondering if we can have like a mecenary hut where we can hire things or people that are not found in any factions? and they are like so unique that each map has their own indivisual special mecenary that we can hire. must like what you find on warcraft.

adds a whole lot of strategy and gameplay for players like us.

btw a fan of the movies here, but not so on the books. ;)

Hi everyone, this is my first time here, I just got the mod and its great. It shows the amount of detail you put into this.

I had a suggestion, not sure if it would be feasible but thought it would help with the strategic element of the game and help lower the micromanaging bit of the economy. In BFME1 there were capturable locations like castles and outposts and such, why don't we introduce that but instead of making random locations on each map make the maps with sections, like a risk board. For one of the largest maps have 10-16 different sections. It would be really cool for each territory on the map when you have ownership of it it starts off as a small building with low defences and if you want you can research building options to make it larger and more powerful. I was thinking about Medival 2 Total War which introduced the concept that you can make any territory either a castle with great defenses but low income or a city with great income but low defenses.

And too help eleviate the micromanagment for your empire lets cut out the whole each building gives you cp and income per tick deal and have specific buildings for each territory that either give you income in the region, a higher cp limit for that region or some other bonuses not mentioned before. So its about land yeah but its also about building up your resources which will make rushing not really possible and above all make the game more about big battles for cities and castles rather then fighting for a couple resource buildings.

What would be great to add if possible would be longer sight radius's around your city or castle and if you research your building size/strength to max it will show towers or outposts or something around the outskirts of that territory. So it would really feel like the battle of minis tirith. The enemy starts invading your minor outpost by one of your major cities, with this you can do what we saw throughout the movies, at helms deep the defenders had to hold out so reinforcements arrive and the same thing at minis tirith. Sorry I write a lot, always what happens when I get carried away with an idea. ;)

Thats a bit ... well ... major isn't it. Methinks all that would need a whole mod not a mod which is allready at 4.5 out of 5. :p

Also even on a large map you can't go dividing it into sections and saying "I want a castle here" because castles are hard to take down in S.E.E thus sort of killing the game as infantry becomes useless.

Will the new ring-hero scheme thing be added in this update? I.E Tom Bombadil replacing Galadrial and all that?

Most likely no. Beta 4.7 is primarily about the 7th faction of EvilMen

I don't know if this has already been mentioned but could you maybe make Custom Heroes weaker? They seem to be way OP. I think this has already been fixed already though...

It's just that when I play, I finally get the resources necessary to get Gandalf and then when I compare him to my Custom, Gandalf has like 12k HP while my custom has 32k HP. I think that the Ordinary heroes should be more powerful than the Customs

i whas also thinking about the music in the mod ;)
sometimes there is just this stupid music of bfme1,2 itself playing and i prefeurthe music from the movie so maby you can make
somesort of shuffel of just the better songs of LOTR during a match i have the compleeet recordings of all three movie's were there are some pretty cool songs in it
that are not even play's at all i here alot of the same music going on in a match i just think that the music in a game,movie,is important it sets a mutch cooler tone
like this one it realy brings shivers down my spine when i listen to this or this one also realy cool
these are just examples of the songs that you dont here that mutch in the game that are pretty cool
a little long bud heel i just needed that out ! :p sorry for the bad spelling not that good at english :popcorn: :popcorn: ;) :xcahik_: ..... :p

i find the Land of Shadow a very cool song and i think it might go cool with the main menu as the background music is there a way i can get the video file of just the main menu without the music behind it so i can put the th song behind it or can you try it out naz just to see if its cool cuz i think it wud be freaking awesome :p :p

It's already in the game but played too seldom (with masses of orcs around who are otherwise unoccupied). I am already playing around with the settings to make it happen under more circumstances. ;)

Edit the file 'data\ini\music.ini'. There you will find a piece that looks like this:
MusicTrack Shell01
  Filename = ActionEdit03.mp3
  Volume = 55
End

Exchange the Filename 'ActionEdit03.mp3 ' with the name of the mp3 file that YOU want to have played, let's assume it's name is 'IwantThisMusic.mp3'-

It should then look like this:
MusicTrack Shell01
  Filename = IwantThisMusic.mp3
  Volume = 55
End

Now put the music file ('in this case: 'IwantThisMusic.mp3') into the directory: '...\SEE\data\audio\tracks\' (you will have to create the directory 'tracks' by hand).

Done.

Edit: Of course, use the actual name of the file you picked instead of 'IwantThisMusic.mp3'-! ;)

I'll want to try the new beta, but I really hope you'll make heroe's health, buildings' armor and unit's build times more moderate...
