I don't know what you're planning to do with the ramps, but do you know about cliff texturing for those vertical bits?

Yeah, texture stretching is not nice... The model itself looks awesome though. :p

just one thing:
don't make the ramps too small.
The AI hates such small ramps and it's MUCH more difficult to script small ramps:P (2-3 teams gondorsoldiers should be able to move there side by side without problems, then the AI can perhaps, if we have luck and the AI want it, go to the higher part without problems:P )

thanks Ill keep that in mind, the ramp to the second level didnt have any problems, a battering ram came right up and smashed it, so I dont think that one is too small, Ill widen up the one to the third level though. :p

Nice. I like the changes on the rock along the side of the ramp. My son likes it better than any other Minas Tirith maps we've seen.

That... is the coolest map details I've seen on ANY map. This map is truly gonna be the pinnacle of SEE. You know... I might ask you to do the same to Helm's Deep eventually. :p

You're just too good man :good:

I appreciate the compliments, honestly though the map has so much still to do, helms deep will have its own set of difficulties to overcome. But for now I will continue to plug away on the City of Kings.

Fucking awesome! I can't wait to get the AI working on that map! Possibly this needs to be a seperate map mod, heavily scripted, to make it really awesome. How much larger is it compared to the original map? I was wondering if it is possible to increase the distance from the walls to the rim of the map so that Minas Tirith opponents have a somewhat greater bit of the Pellenor to situate and organize their armies and fortress structures.

I think the map is 600*600 large?
Because you can't make maps larger. That would be... a bit smaller than two times the normal Minas Tirith map.

Yeah it's a shame WB don't support larger maps, like 1200x1200 or something :/

It does. You have to use the scale function to get past 800x800. I've done that before, I think. Whether the game supports it or not is a different matter.

It is possible, like mh_gollum said, but the game was never really designed to go past 600X600. The amount of lag would increase and I don't know how the mini-map and pathfinder would work.

helms deep will have its own set of difficulties to overcome.

Considering I'm been working for over a year on that map, might I suggest not bothering on that one  Hehe... just kidding... do what you want  You're just going to have a really tough time (and competition), that's all :p
