The textures look really good :good:
But use some more small hills(not big ones, just very small) and some shrubs, Trees and perhaps some objects from Civilian->MISC_MAN_MADE.

r.e. the mountain - in BFME 1, an object was used for the mountain. That should still be in game (misc_natural I think). You could use that to make the mountain bigger, as you can place it off map and it will appear.

Texturing looks good - 4 hours, you have my sympathy :good: good to see someone else who can spend that long on a map and still only be 1/4 done.

And I don't think you need to tell him to add trees, he obviously hasn't gotten that far yet :xcahik_:

Yeah, I think you're right, I'm sorry, fogive me :good:
Most of the other mappers in the german community I'm talking with aren't so good as you guys, so I forget sometimes, that I'm talking to really good mappers;)

The mountain is still in the game, but it doesn't look as good as it did in BfmE I...
4 hours... I wish I had the time to map so much at one day...

I've found german maps particularly good actually. The SUM Fanpage contest has given RA about 5 or so new maps that didn't need too much touching up.

You might list in the alias section who you are at other sites. Didn't recognize you under your current UserName. :xcahik_:

Edit: I take it back. I just wasn't looking in the right place, lol. :good:

Good idea I think. In the books people lived out in the Pelennor fields.

Btw, do you know WB has an autosave function? Therefore you shouldn't have lost all that work (although why you didn't save for 3 hours I don't know, unless I'm missing something)

Hrmm.. trees and everything will be nice, but in the movies at least, the Pelennor fields were just rolling hills. I know in the books they were farmland and things.. but it depends on which interpretation you want to go for.

I didn't mean that there should be houses or something like that.
I would like to see some shrubs, very few trees (but there should be some) and some of the MISC_MAN_MADE_Objects. That are bats, fences, carts(especially some destroyed carts look nice)

yeah i know it does, I just got so focused on what I was doing I forgot to save, I had the entire left side complete all the way to the gate and the main road, I was moving the farm templates into place, and I had zoomed out a little to far with my visible tile settings up too high. and for some reason it locks up my computer, and reboots it. I checked the three auto saves I had and they were all old.

I agree with Dain here - in the movie, the fields look rather deserted and "empty". No need to overdo it with details :good:

Probably we have to adjust the "Reveal_Sky_Area". No worries, I'll take care of it when the map is finished. We'll also be adding the other sky featuring double skies (Mordor/MT) as shown in the Skyline thread =)
