At Jeth, yes the Narnians will need to have sentry towers. Telmar is second priority right now. Let's focus primarily on Narnia for now. I attempted to make a faun pikeman earlier, but my comp is having some serious issues right now. It came out looking more like an orc than a faun. Oh well, I've got all summer.

At Flameguard...wow. Thats all I can say...wow. I just hope you either have lots of freetime, or see fit to join us. Your work is really cool. Those Centaurs look awesome. Nice job. I would be using the exclaimation point, but the key is broken.

At Nertea, I know about that mod too. As far as i know, its discontinued.
There is much I choose to conceal from the world. I live among people, though they hold little interest for me in times of normality. My life has been quiet, and confined to what little I can glimpse from the fractures of my high life. I am a king. My realm is not of this world, but how can one rule what exists not in reality? I am a writer. I am a king. I am...alone.

Yeah, I'm aware it was discontinued - I was just wondering who the leader was, as you might be able to get stuff from him :xd:.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

I've been watching this mod from the beginning and I thought it was gonna die too, but if FlameGuard joins your team, that's a whole other story. From what I've seen, FlameGuard (as far as modeling goes) is second only to Nertea.

Trying to hold on...

a half-orc half-faun pikeman?!! I'd pay money to see that!!! keep up the work!

no Nertea, i don't know who the leader is. this might sound lazy, but i just don't care to go find out.

it would be cool if Flameguard joined, but he is only helping us in his spare time at the moment. i believe he mentioned he might later.....(wishful thinking on my part) still, he has made invaluable contributions to us!

i'll try making a building.....

hey, everyone! If you are wondering, no the mod is not dead. Me and Folca are simply actually working on it right now. When we make a sufficient amount of material, i will create a new thread (probably in BFME I modding forum) to show it off. If there is something you would like to donate or simply want to talk about it more, feel free to post here.

To people with ideas, keep posting on the forum with ideas for us. If Jeth and I like it, it may be implemented. The only thing I ask is that you do not post suggestions for BFME II version. That's not even on the drawing board yet.

Add Kalormin (probably not how it's spelled... I don't remember,) too. It is one of the most important groups in the other books, like TLB and THahB. Have you read the books? I highly suggest you do before making a mod, and not basing it off the movies.

Too bad this isn't for RotWK, or I'd play it.

Calormen is how its spelled. Admittedly, Calormen is a very powerful nation and very prevalent in books 5 and 7, and I think they may play a part in book 3, but i dont remember. As for the reading of the books, Jeth and I have both read them, especially about the Witch's faction, and about Telmar. However, this mod is using the basic ideas of the movies, and while Important elements from the books will be incorporated, right now, the request for more factions is NOT what we want. What we want is ideas for the 4 factions which will be implemented. These are Narnia, White Witch, Telmar, and Caspian. But, maybe if Jeth and I get the time, We may make Archenland and Calormen. There would be a few interesting heroes for them, such as King Lune, Cor, Corin, a few Calormene Tarkaans, and Rabadash to put together.

By the way, thanks for posting. I've been waiting for someone to post for a long time.

yes, i have read the books. Not being prideful or anything, but I have an encyclopediac mind on everything Narnia (and Lord of the Rings and Star Wars EU). The mod will be based on what is considered canon for Narnia; i myself consider the books higher in that respect than the movies. The appearances and looks of everything will be based on the movies.

Calormen. Yes, i planned on adding it, but in the distant future, after a Narnia movie with them in it comes out. Archenland is an idea, but im not enthusiatic about it, doesn't have much potential.

Aravis would make a cool female hero, come to think of it......

*goes back to work on some coding*

Oh I dont know Jeth. I think Archenland would be plausible. Even if the movie doesn't cover it well, we can fall back on the books and our own imaginations.

By the way, i saw an ad the other day "Are you looking for Narnia? Buy it cheap on eBay!"

okay, while me and Folca work on the Narnian faction, lets keep discussing Telmar. i uploaded the latest edition of their tech tree. got some blanks in it, so come forth with your awesome ideas! if you think something should be renamed or added, say so!

should Telmar have sentry towers?

also, should Telmar have walls for their castles, or just be open with sentry towers?

I'd say let them have walls, yes.

As for powers..well, I'd say have them be like this:
Tier One:
-Militarization. Cuts all unit and hero training times and costs by 25%.
-Deforestation. Cuts down all trees in an area.
Tier Two:
-Lone Scouts. The same as 'Sight of the Palantir.'
-Arrow Volley. Launches a volley of arrows anywhere on the map.
-Lumber Mill. Places a lumber mill with five workers armed with axes anywhere on the map.
Tier Three:
-Military Outpost. Places a tower, light walls, and ten individual Telmarine infantrymen slaved to the spot anywhere on the map.
-Old Fairy Tales. Cancels out the fear of Narnian units, heroes, and trees for a time for units inside the radius. If they already possess this fear, of course.
Tier Four:
-Honour-Bound. All units and heroes in the effected radius stay alive for twelve seconds once their health expires.

Good idea Mike. I especially like how each of them really fits into the way the Telmarines seem to act in both book and movie. That Honour-Bound power could create some interesting Tactical situations for the other factions. It could definately stand up to something like AOTD, the Balrog, or Aslan. I like the idea. Keep coming up with Ideas. Especially since I will be out of town, and thus unable to work on the mod, from July 10th to July 24th.

Just to let you know Jeth, I've been working on the Faun Pikemen and trying desperately to learn coding. Also to Jeth, the Telmarine armory seems a bit...bland. Why not add some more units. Like the Telmarine Cataphract, which could be elite Cavalry. In addition, how about a fast, stealthed Scout unit, like the Sentinels from Woody End in The Elven Alliance BFME mod. Also, maybe we could add a special Telmarine Captain unit, who is a decent melee fighter on his own, but can combine with another Telmarine unit to Double thier combat effectiveness. Chew it over, and let me know.

Oh, and also, make the Telmarines Evil. Now that Caspian is no longer part of thier faction, it seems foolish to call them good.

Regards from Folca.

corrected the good/evil situation in the above attachment.

i agree with you Folca, Telmar can be bland. they're just not a very magical faction. which is why your ideas, Mike, are really good. they help fill in the spells, which i was having extreme trouble over.

Telmar to me is a lot like Gondor. good solid infantry, with supporting cavalry on occasion. Telmarine infantry will be slightly better than the others, especially early game. they'll need these soupped up people to fight off the magically enhanced troops of the other factions. they'll need lots of leadership. captains would work well in that regard. spies too, as Telmar will need an edge of knowing their enemies' moves. no cataphract, their strength is not in cavalry. some sort of Guards, perhaps?

the Honor-bound spell is freakin awesome. to make it equal, i think i'll give it the same amount of time as the Balrog, AotD, and Aslan.

could we put in leadership and summon units type spells in?
