I'm going to do Windus body again, there's just something I don't like about it, plus I had promised Eldarion skinning priority on the unit so it should be fun to see what he comes up.

Thanks, atm we're discussing health and armor, does anybody have any ideas as to how this should go in regard to Battledroids vs Clonetroopers. We're also palying around with some interesting ideas in orders to make PP's more important to the overall feel of the game.

I think in general that droids should be cheaper and more spammy, while clones should cost more but have better stats.

Yeah, clones were better than droids so droids cheaper and more spammy, just like Jeth said (I'm only quoting Jeth, why I posted )

Don't spread lies... I doubt the best modeler ever, and I mean ever, would model for BFME...

As for Battledroid vs. Clonetrooper, well.. They should have pretty similar stats, because, well... a shot or two would most likely kill them anyways :p But the clonetrooper should have slightly better stats, and perhaps be more accurate with their weapons...

BTW, do you have any ideas on how to show that Clonetroopers are superior to Battledroids, in that they can think for themselves and the likes? Higher stats won't really solve that nice IMO...

To show that they are less autonomous is a difficult one, I mean when I watched the film they were both just numbers churned out of factories, the only way that I could really demonstrate a sense of them having any indivuality would be change the distance that they can spread out while attack, keep the Droids more regimented while the clones would be less so, it would look more natural in that case, in warzones, the soldiers don't stay bunched up together, also changing emotions and fear rates might help in showing a divide between them a mere units and more so as man versus machine.

This has got nothing to do with the your Avatar and the relationship it has with the model does it?!? and I'm by far not the greatest modeller, you need to check out the work of some my colleagues, some really excellent mods around here

LAMA SU: I hoped you would be pleased. Clones can think
creatively. You'll find that they are immensely superior
to droids.

.....and he wasn't lying. ;)

I've read a lot of the Republic Commando novels, which really deal with the whole clone vs droid debate. My suggestion is that, on average, when you compare one battalion of droids to one battalion of clones, you get this: Droids are cheaper, but clones are better.

If one batt of droids were to fight one batt of clones, and neither side had any help, upgrades, or leadership; then the clones would win, although there would only be 3 or less of them left. Get my drift? :glare:

Seeing as blasters were sorta 'one shot one kill' weapons, I'm not too sure how health could work in relation to that.

They weren't really though...armor and all that :glare:

But maybe some of the scatter and accuracy stuff can be used for that.

One of the funny things about the movies is that while everyone's wearing armor (clones and stormies) it doesn't help them any. :glare: In the EU (and more realistically) it actually takes about three or four shots on the same exact spot to burn through, unless the shooter manages to hit a weak spot (like the cracks). ;)

Well, SBDs have some pretty tough armor, and will kill clones anyway. :glare:

With SBD's, the odds are more even. Until you replace the clones with clone commandoes...... :glare:

Clone commandos will be better than SBDs probably, but SBDs will still take out regular clones.

If battle droids are a 1 on the scale of epicness, clones are probably a 1.5, SBDs a 2, commandos a 2.something

SBD's, I knew there was something I had to do, have the model bound and everything, keeper of the faiths model pack, came with anims and everything, just I'll probably have to do them again anyway cos I don't know anything about exporting them.
