It would be cool to mount hobbits on treebeard or other people's horses. It isn't possible right now isnt it?

We can do it, but there are bugs with the horses (namely you can climb on even when the person is walking), and other bugs. I believe it was something that worked in BFME1 but broke in BFME2. Hobbit mounting on Treebeard as far as I know is still possible in RotWK.

-I've noticed that on BFME1 converted campain maps (or at least amon hen and ciruth ungol which are the only two i played so far) that the ai build tons of farms before they start building unit production buildings. on amon hen it took angmar almost 10 minutes to send a horde to attack me and the dwarves in ciruth ungol never attacked at all (maybe they didnt build enough mines).

Yes, this is an issue that I know about. The problem is cause by the limited build places on these maps. The way around this is to create a custom .bse for each map, but it's very time consuming as it's 1 faction per starting place, so 20 .bse files for a 2 player map. While this allows for a better ai for the map, it will be a little while until I get to all of these.

-also are the rohan elves heavy armor supposed to be the BFME1 skins? i like their cloaks but i just dont like the change to the old skins (just my opinion)

Are you saying that you don't like the news skins for the ha (original bfme1 version). Just so I know what don't you like about them?

First of all, great job on the Minas Tirith map, really splendid.
I played the Minas Tirith map and I had no problem whatsoever finding suitable build spots.
Yes, you should manage them a little bit (production buildings on the lower level and research buildings on the higher levels) but there's really a lot of space (I had more problems fitting buildings in the old EA version of the map)
Little thing that bothered me though, it takes a whole S load of time for the heroes to get down to the lower level, but that isn't a trouble when playing the dwareves.
And I think the map needs more green.

Btw, really love the mounting Hobbit idea.

bug
you dont have to build the uprgades to use mellyrn grove , simply click on it
Urukhai golden armours
should add urukhai scouts or shield uruks
Good work ,i like the volley arrows ,very original :p

I do have some uruk skins that are pretty good, but I have to track down to ensure who made them and see if the team agrees on them. We'll probably adjust Isengard a little, but too much. As a whole, Isengard is probably EA's best faction outside of the HA skin.

For information on my whole idea regarding the hobbits see the Hobbits topic. Mounting them is just an extra detail, but it would be quite fun too. I got the idea from hearing the little extra voice clips on Worldbuilder, and from the way that in the books Merry rides with Eowyn, Pippin rides with Gandalf, Frodo rides with Glorfindel (arwen in the film), etc. It would be a nice extra, and if my Ring Hobbit system is liked useful too.

I am in favour of a different HA skin for Uruks, but it isn't urgent. It's just that gold armor is a little over the top. Maybe they could start off with a little armor, and then get ordinary plate armor when they are upgraded, like the Goblins? I really see Isengard as a siege/upgrades faction, so maybe they could have even two HA upgrades. One ordinary one, and one extra expensive one that can be bought on top of that which tops up the armor to as good as/better than Dwarven HA and improves the effectiveness of Shield Wall against cavalry and arrows.

I really hope you like my idea of moving Borin IV, Thorin III and Prince Bard to the recycling bin (in other words, chuck 'em in the Inn) and replacing them with Bard and Beorn. Brand could still stay, as a younger prince. It's just that, as I have said many times, I think most people - myself included - would love to have Bard and Beorn in with the Dwarves regardless of the small time difference, which has already been overlooked in favour of Azog in any case. I think their importance and playability would strongly outway the problem with timing, as it has with Azog. You don't really feel it as such with Borin, Thorin and Bard, they're too generic. They would do fine in the inn though. On that subject... I remember people saying, "What if you want to buy your own Inn heroes? It doesn't make sense". Well, maybe you could also buy them in the Inn, as well as the ones of the Inn faction you have chosen. So a Dwarven player could still buy Borin, Thorin and Bard if he wanted to. See my post in the Dwarven topic for info on Bard and Beorn.

Rammas Echor is not in the mod at this moment.

As for the Silmarillion - the two maps were included as skirmish maps to enjoy, but they are not meant to give the idea that we are doing silmarillion at this time. The campaign and work between the last alliance and the end of the third age will keep us busy for some time and if we do it right it will keep everyone busy playing for quite some time.

tops up the armor to as good as/better than Dwarven HA

Whilst the extra top up doesn't sound too bad, the idea of uruk armour being better than the Dwarves' armour doesn't appeal to me.

What i meant was that it took me by suprise (thought it was a bug at first). The cloaks look very good (and seem more professional) and i almost dont want to upgrade them because i never liked the bfme1 skins. In my opinion the armor just looks too plain. I think that a well trained army of elves marching all the way from Lothlorien would have nicer looking armor. But anyway its not a major problem and i will still play play the mod whether you change it or not.

The mod is great but has many errors
The "Sorcerer" of Agmar using the "well of souls" do Wight invincible, that will fix it?
These errors will be corrected in the next issue or there will be an update soon?

I tried getting Merry on treebeard and I couldnt...Meh.
BTW It would be nice if you changed the golden armor, but I agree it isnt a priority.

Oh I tried the new easterlings, especially Harad. Nice work! (Y)

I realy like the blue wizards for MotE.

They are very fun to use, and I like how you made that effect when they are close together.

The illusions are fun to mess around with =D

I very very love your mod. I have new idea. If you play Elvestar mod - here is option to for example Pipip could mount on Gandalf´s horse and ride with him. This is good idea, i hope that u add it. Bilbo should have more powers like Mithril armor and stinger. I´m looking forward to see in other versions no fewer than (five) linerar missions and some characters have voices of others(Bilbo - voice of Sam). I very love your mod thanks.

I have only known about your mod since a few days ago when I saw it on moddb, but this is by far the best mod i have played for BFME2. Most mods just add new units and call it good but your team expanded the game on all fronts. Good job. :D

We can do it, but there are bugs with the horses (namely you can climb on even when the person is walking), and other bugs. I believe it was something that worked in BFME1 but broke in BFME2. Hobbit mounting on Treebeard as far as I know is still possible in RotWK.

rob has already addressed hobbits mounting on horses.

@tompabus, the linear campaign is currently slated to be worked on after the non-linear campaign. there is still a lot of work to do on that front though, so i wouldnt expect much from the linear end for a while. the missions there now are simply previews of what's to come, but if you want to play more of the campaign, play the non-linear one.

@CTLN, i belive the idea of adding blood has already been ruled out by rob, but i dont remember his reasoning behind the decision. it may have just been personal preference, im not really sure.
