The Pacific Front is an Allied subfaction mostly consisting of countries in the Pacific Ocean. This alliance is spearheaded by the Pacific powerhouses known as Japan and Korea. Many revere them for trying to fight back communist China; but the former is usually treated with the most suspicion of all the Pacific nations. They have a point, considering Japan's history.
Before Japan became a U.S.A. ally, the Japanese, led by Emperor Yoshiro and his son Prince Tatsu, mobilized a fearsome army, consisting of near-fanatical fighters, equally fearsome mecha and war machines that if left unchecked, will conquer most, if not all, of the world. However, before they were ultimately defeated by the combined forces of the Allies and Soviets. The Emperor was assassinated quickly and his son was also killed; the culprits are still unidentified until now. The remaining Japanese quickly issued a formal surrender when they heard the U.S. will chronoshift a hydrogen bomb to completely annihilate their nation.
One of the technologies used by the Imperial forces is the Tengu. Developed by the late commander The Tengu is a versatile mech that can transform at will: a land-based anti-infantry mecha, or a quick, but deadly aircraft-destroying air mode. Their kinetic autocannons can pierce through both metal and flesh alike. However, they are terribly outmatched by enemy armor, and must not be sent against them.
Mecha Tengu only exist in the alternate timeline in RA3. Even the Empire
Flawless Unit to Unit Deploying isn't possible in Ares...yet.
Until it comes in it'd be very hard to do it. Land Tengu deploys into Aircraft Building ~~~ Aircraft Building undeploys into Aircraft Tengu ~~~ Aircraft Tengu deploys into Land Building ~~~ Land Building Undeploys into Land Tengu
I didn't say the Tengu can transform into buildings.
