At this point, I'm not getting why you want this change. It is because the piercer's low health?

In my eyes, HH is the only foehn sub-faction who benefits from a straight-up tech rush. And that is mostly due to broken stuff.
You can't expect to do well as LB nor WC if you reach T3 with a weak economy. And at least for me, the way to go is to delay tech a bit for a good macro. But at the same time, I want sync infantry soon. So there is the role for the loom.

I think basically he wants another reason to build Nanoloom besides nanosync and that is unlocking MCV build option..? (Which currently unlocks after building Cloud Piercer)

I have of been explaining the thought process for the revert throughout the entire time. However since you are miss understanding the point I'm trying to make allow me to break it down again.
This is not about speed tech ups, this is not about the viability of Nanosync infantry, this is about bringing more useful features BACK to the Nanoloom. It's currently barren in useability after the immediate build, which is bad in the early game. The OTHER tech buildings are a more useful investment, and the Cloud Piercer seem to DO IT ALL! (Vulture for scouting, Spinblade to speed up eco, MCV access for a safety net, and Sodar for detection.) I am simply trying to allow the Nanoloom first build (when I say first I mean after two refineries) to be a better option.

Loom is highly useful ATM regardless your ideas about lack of features. Because sync infantry brings to the table a lot of features and counters. And it is also a tiny change with little to no impact on gameplay other than bringing back a solved problem and making you happy for having MCV requirements in a certain structure.

Next time you want to explain me a thought process make sure there is actually one.

How about making it so that BOTH Cloud Piercer and Nanofiber Loom are required to build MCV, then you get the reason to build all these fricking buildings :D

Btw, I see people selling CP even in 3.3.2, because in a real intense game rebuilding MCV is pointless; you already lose if you lose your ConYard.

That would make Foehn the only faction that needs two tech buildings to build an MCV, which is clearly another nerf for them.

Not really true. I often see people rebuilding ConYards after losing one, mostly because game is not over yet and someone can still take a chance to win. I've seen not one and not two comebacks like that in past couple of years.

*Immediate build effects* 7:30 Cooldown on Sync with the Huntress unlock, sweeper too with LastBastion. Which equals one Sync before tier three assuming you survived that far and didn't get your Loom blown up by a single bomb buggy. (Which is super depressing when one buggy can kill the Loom but four Baracudas can't.) I guess you can argue then that the Loom serves a kind of role like the Allied Support structures: Mercury Sat and etc. Whic no one really builds first, besides the Mercury Uplink sometimes if a person is feeling particularly War-hawky. I'd hate to be that Coronia player too that loses everything because so much was loaded into his one all importwnt tech lab. He loses any detection, he loses his Tier three, and he loses the ability to build a replacement MCV. What a disaster! Still, I think I'll rest my case of Endless over there will get out his rope again.

I agree that bomb buggies shouldn't 1-shot looms.

says the person that keeps tech sniping with jets denying EVERYTHING even detection for soviets.

Soviets have a two tech building system with nicely designed tech distribution. They are also the only faction besides HQ that has three detectors. The palace is also not dependent on the Field bureau to survive and still will give you access to tier three stuff including Volkov, Morales, and Yunru for detection. Foehn has a three tech building+attachment system. The point of having more tech buildings is to spread out the important tech, and if you loaded all of the important stuff into one building... well you already get the idea.

By the way, to address your ad hominem Stolen, would you like 8 jets in your base or eight Armadillos? The answer is neither, but you feel like one is worse right? Jets right? In terms of damage capability the Armadillos are way way way way way way worse, but no one calls people out for building them and iron curtaining them. What this is, is bias. And bias can go suck some Megalodon nuts.

"Which equals one Sync before tier three" that is only true if you tech rush, and as you can see in my previous comments that is not the idea behind loom first.

"assuming you survived that far" you really think foehn have problems camping and defending?

"and didn't get your Loom blown up by a single bomb buggy" which happens to be a 1/12 sub-factions tool. Also, two jackal lancers can keep buggies away.

Again the change you are asking for means bringing back a solved problem. If you think it is so important to make loom more relevant then think in a way to make it more relevant without introducing a problem.

yea but 8 armadilos require to go in and you got lots of ways to stop them *cough FUCKING WALLS cough*

meanwhile mr.safe over here wants to be always safe even when rushing with nanosynced infantry, or when he's happily sniping tech buildings from his own base because "he wants to be safe" you shouldn't be allowed to play safe while you are still destroying everything and getting minor losses, Armadillos... while can be tooooo good not gonna lie, require to go melee and stay there to attack the target.

You couldn't Sync again before Tier three because of the cooldown. If you delay your tier three long enough to have two cycles of Nanosync, then it's probably too late. Sync, with the cooldown of 7:30, is only possible after building the two other tech buildings in a standard tech order ( Which isn't tech rushing by the way.).

Foehn has range problems that can be easily exploited at tier two when going Loom first ( Because of the lack of Immediate effects) and also the Railgun tower, a crucial camping weapon, is unlocked by the Loaded Cloud Piercer, making the C.P even more appealing. Grids, another crucial defensive tool, is unlocked by the Cyberkernel.

Demo trucks, Seals, Pyros, Dune riders, Jackel lancers do extra damage against Loom, etc. the point is anything that blows up the Loom will reset its inherent value from the Nanosync that must be charge, while the other buildings can have effects right away.

Another way to give Loom relevance is to move the Railgun unlock to the Loom, giving greater defensive capabilities and ensuring the Nanosync does go off.
