I dont know if anyone here uses xfire but looking at the statistics, Generals (or Zero Hour) doesnt even compete for the top 10 of minutes played. CS, CoD, America's Army, Battlefied 1942, Battlefield Vietnam and Warcraft III nearly always feature in the top 10. Of this, 3 are EA games (The 2 Battlefields and CoD), 1 is a Free Download (America's Army), 1 is a mod (CS) and then one RTS game. For EA the Generals franchise is over, they've got Lord of the Rings:Battle for Middle Earth coming in November/December which uses the SAGE engine from Generals and vastly improves upon it. Generals is out dated and EA arent going to put any more money into it other than running servers, especially for the small gain they will make from it.

(I have Xfire) But ever since concept for BFME was put into action noone at EA cared about Generals anymore, I'm not saying that the work isn't good... that model is amazing, but EA just doesn't want to hassel with Generals anymore, so you guys shouldn't shoot so high, and just make a great mod for the community. I don't like how the CD team tends to go around into forums and say... WE ARE THE GREATEST BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO BE A NEW GAME AND BLAH BLAH BLAH (caps exagerated) just make a great mod for the community, people are outraged just because of the way CD seems to treat everyone... the Whole CD project seems to give the impression to eveyrone "I'm too good for you to play, so I'm going to make you pay for me." Where as most people love mods so much because they are free-fun-expansions onto a game.... and CD just doesn't seem to feel that way, and its not the project, its the way the project is being presented to the community.

please read this official statement of that crimson dawn is:
"Currently: Crimson Dawn will be the first TC to ever have its own muisic made professionaly by someone Associated to the Original CnC Composer for it (to my knowledge correct me if I'm worng), addiontal software, its own directory, compelete replacing of all sound and graphics(everything GUI etc), plus full CGI movies to tell the story in Single player missions, and all new multiplayer maps. Also it will the first of its kind to have Cloud layers Storms etc. It is not currenly a new game as of now.
The goal for Crimson Dawn is to make it into a new game with the permission of EA In hopes to bring back CnC the way it used to be. To do the community a favor and keep CnC alive. (All we need from them is permission take away the CD requirment everything else is (except the Sage) is the proporty of Crimson Dawn.
This and only this statement is the offical claim for Crimson Dawn."

to the person back there, half life is not a mod because it's source code was extensively modified from the Q2 engine and also more importantly, it's a retail game, not freeware, which is what mods are
examine the word mod, what does it mean? modification. now ask yourself, of what? a game, but arent many games modifications of something? so where is the line drawn? the line is drawn between amateur and professional, between money and just plain fun without getting paid
it's like modding cars, does it make a car a whole new car even though it may look a lot different? people will still call it a mod of this other car, if not where's the significance in that? where's the effort gone?
you may aspire to turn CD into a sponsored game in the end, but let me tell you, it's impossible, firstly because the company you're screaming to is Electronic Arts, with no subsidiary firm for generals unlike how BF42 and BFV was made by DICE, which actively supports mods. EALA doesnt even talk about mods
one important point is that it wont make them any money, not with the kind of stuff you're making at least, and EA is all about money im afraid
you have another problem too, and that is the game design itself, although pretty graphics are one thing, gameplay are another, and so is story, already many people dont like what they're seeing, everything about the UDI sucks, from the logo to the colour scheme to the unit designs, and your nod tank there, doesnt seem to serve any purpose or functionality at all...so i dont know where the "bring back CnC the way it used to be." part comes into play.

those posts should be adresed to gideon therefore i will ask him to reply.
if u didnt liked the tank i suppose u wont like this mech too:
i cant make people like u to like cd but i can connvience if not u so somebody else.
i think the fact is that ea wont accept cd as game beacause they dont want it. they will afterwards say we dont have enougth support from fans but does have a good mod but it isnt their interest. therefore if they allow cd to beacome a game they will take also most % from it wich is that may probably happen.
i will start new topic about new game from mod not related to cd to see that people think about this idea at all.

if it's an exoskeleton, that's even worse, how does it enhance human movement yet at the same time protecting the pilot/wearer, i don't even see how a man can fit in there with control systems
if it's unmanned... well, heh, then it doesn't even make sense
on the model, polygons wasted on unecessary surfaces, they could be put in other parts to better define the form of the mech
skinning needs a whole lot of improvement
and you've got nothing to say eh?

some people try to do enything they can to say cd isnt good enougth or bad but this time it is not the case as this mech wont even be included in cd. it is old model that wont be used in cd.
i actualy think this mech looks good but even if it doesnt wo said the final units will look so or like it?
u just need to seat down and wait till enougth info on cd will be reliced.
also the story is updated so people check it out.

We all realise we made a cock up promoting it as we did, and that it is just a mod, with little prospect of it becoming any more. So, as we have not said it here, we apologise for promoting Crimson Dawn the way that we did, and hope that at least some of you will be willing to give Crimson Dawn a second chance.
Finally, we now have a ModDataBase site up, with all images released in the image gallery. The Heavy Burrowing Tank that was posted above: you can see a video of it transforming here.
Thank you for your time,

Dont get me wrong, its a very nice model and animation but in my opinion its just going to look mighty stupid trying to drill a hole for it to fit through.

however if all that u see at pc games was real then why to make them at all?
look, the burowing tank in ts -tic tank wasnt fully covered by those drills in the oficial concept i doesnt see drills at all so how would you explain it?
the viechle wich has drills that coverd fully the front side were nod undergroun units so you are wrong.
to show i am rigth i got pics of the true ts units u talk about:
it doesnt cover all the front of the tank!
the one u are talked about is this devils tongue:
and the subteraneen apc of wich i dont have pics
