Love the Pics mh_gollum, btw My guess is that the one on the right is Forochel and the other one is the Dimril dale, cuz you have that pic from the fellowship of the ring, which is overlooking Lothlorien, so those are my guesses.

:p it's strange, it took me several days to make DD but only a few hours to make Forochel :p Although both need a bit of work. DD will end up a 6P map instead of the current 4P.

OK chill out, I said I was gonna be a mapper to, but I too found the system too strange, even so we apreciate the fact you want to help but I'm sure mh gollum can help you, if you have trouble ith the mapping system itself then I really wouldn't know what to do. Don't feel bad about it.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

worldbuilder is a beta program. it worked at EA, so they never bothered to make it work on all pc's. if it doesn't run on yours, there's most of the time not much to do about it. sorry :(

but it could be that you don't have enough RAM. i would think that, as you say that it crashes when you're using it for too long

I got loads of those when I first started. You must increase your virtual memory to at least twice the amount of physical ram you have.

Control Panel >> System >> Advanced >> Performance Options >> Advances >> Virtual Memory >> Change
the set the minimum to the value that is double the amount of ram and set the maximum to an appropriate amount (say +512MB or + 1024MB)

A good idea after that is to open up the task manager before WB, click on performance and position in the bottom left corner of the screen so that you can see the Page File Usage Graph. When it is getting too high, save the map, open a new map that is really small (say 10x10) then open up your old map. This removes all the undos etc and therefore increasing the available memory, and it saves having to close and open up WB again.

Uruk King - what dont you like about the map system. I know its not perfect but maybe I can help you out

To make it work you need to use the EA tutorial about how to set up a multiplayer match.

Alright. The Mirkwood Mountains map I was working on is a dud, so if anyone wants to do it, go ahead. However, I am trying to do a Harad map, and it's going a LOT better.

A couple of villages would be real cool, but no pressure.

Hey everyone me again, with the same old problem. I doubled my virtual memory and put the task manager up while i was using World builder, but it hardly went oner 30% when it had the errors. Also it only happens when i try and place a clump of trees or something like that.
Hopefully it will be all good soon, thanks for all your help so far.

Were you using the "Grove" tool? Last I heard, that thing was broken.
