of course, the BFME2 ones are spearmen, which I don't want the Half Trolls of Far Harad to be

Nope! It's got nothing to do with Harad, Evil Men, or Tolkien's work for that matter.Riders of Suladan, champions of Harad
If they're gonna be like a biggish berserker unit, definately. If they look like those pictures Canterbury showed us, probably a horde, but like a straight line, like the Gondor units.Anyway, who thinks the half trolls should be 1 per unit.
I hated those spear-men with a vengeance. I hope they'll be as far from them as possible!I.... might thing that.... depending on their strength really... if their like berserker, sure, if their like BFME2 half trolls... horde...

Nah, I can see the resemblance between man and troll, however they do look a bit orc-like, probably because of all their piercings and their armour. They should have like a leathery type armour instead, since they come from Far Harad where it's stinking hot.Yeah. Those pictures were a bit too orc-like.
...The Journey doesn't end here; death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise...
...Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder...

Tolkien describes them as ''Big like half-trolls'' or something along those lines, he doesn't say they áre half-trolls, nor does he say they look like them in any other way then their height and strength.
I worked on an early version of the Trollmen of Far Harad for RA, and they are very much like half-trolls in their physique. That's all. They don't have scales like a troll, and certainly don't look like those cards.

Cross-breed?
I personally never thought that, I thought they merely resembled the trolls in experience, and were giants compared to the Haradrim.
So they weren't cross-breeds? Oh, my mistake. No, not at all.
