sweetness new cyber general mech!!!
Any thoughs on what abiltys and power?

I vote for a rocket salvo in the missile racks.
twin large lasers 1 in each arm
And for the nose twim pulse lasers.

firesupport rockets meduim range with meduim Anti tank and anti infantry = to that of a warmaster and gattling gun. (i don't need to tell u witch weaposn represent each damge type right?) lol

It would be relativly fast but would be weck vs air (no aa) and would heave light- meduim armor give or take.

I'm prety sure they got rid of the vinella USA China and GLA. The engine has a maximum number of AI slots.



Well i just double checked today, all of the generals are there plus the vinilla sides, and all the AI work, i remember reading back somewhere that the engine has a maximum of 16 slots.

Maybe I think this mod will be more EXCITING if :
1. Add new generals, but Pendaelose said it can't [Limited problems]
2. Add more buildings, make a different SW for each generals, ex : Nuke Gen have Nuclear, but maybe Inf Gen
have an Artillery SW
3. Add more new units, that are usefulness in battle and remake or equipped more for the old units that not
effective ex: I think SW Burton coz i think he can't do anything in battle
4. Bring up more the new model especially infantry one to replace the old one, like the contra 005 did
5. Add the naval units, maybe its difficult to done but is it false if u try it??

This is only a suggestion. Thx :thumbsupsmiley:

If there's ought to be a new side, I vote for Europe as seen in CnC Europe mod.
Absolutely has great potential.
Heck, I'd PAY someone if they could merge me Remix 3 with CnC Europe. Seriously!

That europe mod was very high quiality in terms of near bug free very nice models and such BUT i refuse to play a mod that is 100% unbalanced, they never edit the original sides and they said they are not going to.

And because of this they said they would balance the eurpoe sides to be capable of beating the other teams but also not god like, BUT every game i played with that mod in comp stomp or PvP the europe sides would win. Seriosly balanced my ass if it was not for that i would think its a great mod.

Not as good as remix or contra simply becase only adding 3 new generals and old generals remaing Zh generals gets boring quickly.

Rain u can have a meny number of sides but you wont be able to give them all working AI, reborn had like an extra 6 sides i think maybe more, but half of them did not have AI.

The sides we have are fine.

Well just Copy/Paste EU into Remix..

I loved that mod. I also loved Rise Of The Reds.

Basically the best mod ever = Remix 3 + EU + ROTR by just copying EU and Russia into Remix 3.

what will it replace? can it be added as a new mech unit aswell. dont replace it or take something away from cyber gen.

Gezz why dose everyone wanna add more sides or whatever its already an AMAZING mod, and it would only mean more work.
Also violence u can't just go steal someone complet work without asking and past it into your mod and i very much doubt they would let us.

Besides if europe was adding it would need massive balancing and imo if it was gimped to actiong noy be godly then u probley not enjoy them as much. (simply cos your used to the the teams being super)

And i still think my idea for the mech/weapons would be pawnage and yet still remain balanced as it is not a heavy mech and it has no AA protection and so forth.
But could be belenaced another way.

Well IMHO EU as portrayed in their mod would be the perfect match to Remix 3's armies. So would Russia from ROTR, given that you add them as they are and change nothing at all.

Plus as a member of the EU I really would like to see our countries against US, China and Middle East you know.. And I'd love to also be able to chose Russia, I can totally relate to them as a Greek.

I don't think these guys wouldn't let you use their work if you plan to let people know who did what in the credits during installation and stuff.

Besides someone who knows about modding can just get the mods and merge them for his own personal amusement. I just lack the skills, that's all. That's why I ask if it can be done here, see? Nothing against Remix 3 the way it is now... I just believe it will only improve it greatly if the player can chose EU and RUS.

Pendaelose@hotmail.com. 99% of the time I'm set to invisible, or I'm AFK (and invisible). But I'll keep it open this weekend. Not much I can do to fix AFK... I've got kids. around 8:00pm (EST) the kids go to bed, I can hope on ventrilo and start things going.

The limit is in the AI. Someone said they think the limit is 16... I thaught it was 13 or 15... If its a full 16 it makes a new faction tempting, but it would have to be added after the other updates.

This is a very much "already done" in Remix. Contra has fewer buildings and superweapons, but it has some.

This is the Contra suggestion thread... so you just recomended Contra include the content of Contra... ....

Just the same, yeah, I also am looking at using the updated infantry models.

Its been talked about many times. Lots of people suggest it. Adding naval units in the traditional fassion always leads to trouble.

It can be done without errors, but we need an experienced mapper on the team to do it. Naval units would then be available only on special navy maps. But we have no mapper right now.

Basically the best mod ever = Remix 3 + EU + ROTR by just copying EU and Russia into Remix 3.

I'm not sure yet. but I agree it needs a variety of weapons. I'm thinking arm it like a baby fafnir. Lasers, machine guns, and missiles. Smaller, but same kill style. If its made very small it can even be built in the early game from the standard factory. Better than a crusader, but not as large as the later mechs.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Its a valture (known as mad dog to some) because of this fact i rather it be a better mech than the gattling and at mech.

As i say i vote for fafnir blue laser on its arms rocket pods in its missile racks, not missiles cos everything has missiles and rockets would suit the style of it having such a large missile rack bay, and 2 mgs on the nose gun.
Mg capable of AA?

I think this would be pawnage and it would be a sweet little fafnir sister :p

-can we skin a unit by using multiple skining files? means more than one skin file is used in it.
-I cant align this giant beast to world. (in the hierarchy tab in tutorials it said you must do it.)

1) Yes, but I don't recommend you to do it.
2) Legs must stand on zero-plane. This is all. Nothing more is needed.

and if you want to make more generals you could also take out the basic generals for each side and boss to make room for others.


SW general is an "all about deffense" general.

we have already taken out the basic generals and replaced them with the new ones.

Lol, ever heard of the Su[per Weapons general? She's all about defences and Super Weapons. They don't are gonna create walls they've said and I guess they don't want any new generals ATM.

i actually thought of the defense general thing as he build his base defensively while also building defenses for his allies if any. i dont know if it is possible but......

Mad cat is differnt than Vulture.

and i dont think Vulture and Fafnir are in the same type. Fafnir is assault mech but Vulture is a long range support mech. so...

missle barrages act like katyusha missles. they bring devastating amount of damage and cuz Vulture has a fast speed it can easily run away from the slow Fafnir. so in fact, Vulture OWNS Fafnir. but at a cost, infantry...Vulture cannot fire accurate at them. the meduim lasers on his both side provides AA defense but they are not fast enough to hit the fast airplanes. so if you use your airplanes wisely you can also beat Vulture. the pulse laser turret under the body (under the front side of his body) provides a short range defense against weakened tanks and light armor and the pulse laser turret spins on its own, so while Vulture is busy hitting the enemies in long distance the pulse can hit something else. makes the mech capable to hit 3 targets at a time. ( missles = long range defense, Meduim lasers = ground and air, Pulse laser = short range defense.)

and also about your "AI limit" i found an idea.

make generals to follow diffrent ways...WTF that means? I'll tell you. anyone played reborn? if you have the normal factions have 3 commanders to select in the general power section (where star points are spent) or such. if you choose one you gain diffrent stuff and cant choose the other one. make generals choose what they want to be.
