I agree, unfortionately NOONE seems to be able to make archers on horse shoot while riding. It has something to do with the torso I beleive... it turns 360 degrees or something like that. Too bad.

The use they have is attack and withdraw much faster than archers on foot though. And in Beta 4.5... ALL archers will have the risc of missing their targets as well as dealing collateral damage :p

Oh ok, not sure about this, but doesn't Dwarven battle wagon shoot while moving, maybe something can come from there :p

btw if you are changing archers accuracy maybe you should change melee to not hit all the time too to simulate blocking and parry, because otherwise all melee units will be superior to archers.

Seriously? You're able to make them....miss? That's pretty freakin' cool modding right there. If you can do that, then, why not bring the soldiers health down a little. Cuz c'mon, it only takes one arrow to kill a soldier (Pippin chimes in) "Boromir was pierced by many." And so it shall be, Pippin, you silly fool of a Took. The heroes' health are fine. What did I just say? I've drunk too much nyquil. But yeah, bring down the health of units a little bit, if possible. SEE RULES. :p

Wll, not all arrows are lethal hits you know... What if you catch it in the leg, arm, shoulder, butt... :p

I recommend you recommend modifications of the new system once you've had a chance to play it yourself, not before. In the end, it all comes down to the funfactor and the 'apparent' realism, not the actual numbers involved. :p

And I agree, Naz, not every shot will hit a vital spot. HOWEVER (unless you're Boromir) if you get shot with an arrow in the shoulder or leg or wherever, I don't think you'd be doing much in the way of fighting. Now, I myself have never been hit with an arrow. But I would imagine I'd be on the ground crying like a little girl no matter where it hit :p .

well, some have armor on them, but that's just some.... but then the arrows would hit even less than whatever they have now....
like, they would maybe hit 20-40% of the times, then the health could be lower, BUT.... melee combat would suck then :p

A pretty minor thing I still liked very much in Elvenstar Mod II were red level up FX instead of white ones for everything evil... do you think that could be added to SEE?

From GameReplays:

I think most of us would agree that playing against your computer is a great way to train for online play. I was thinking about an option to lift the fog of war just for playing against your pc. This would help out gamers new to the game and help them learn defense and offense quickly. And as this would just be an option that the gamer can click on before the game, it dose not have to happen all the time and as I mentioned before the option ( possibly a little box to check )would only exist if you are playing against your computer in skirmish mode, possibly war of the ring. Better training = better gamers :p.

It's edited in the script of each map, so I don't think it's possible to control via the menu...

But most maps will have that disabled anyways when they get the new RJ Cam installed, cause the fog don't work that well with the new camera angles =)

Hi everyone, my first post in the SEE forums, great mod Nazgûl and Sûl, I must say this is the only reason I still have BFME II installed on my computer. I wanted to offer a suggestion, something I've always wanted to do myself, but was never skilled enough as a modder to do: adding the old Palantir images back, you know the movie stills? I mean, they're so much better then these bland, colorless parchment type thing EA decided to go with in BFME II, and some mods like Battles of Gondor have done it. I know it doesn't offer much to gameplay, but (for me at least), it makes the experience much better (not to mention it's better for taking screenshots.

Just a suggestion for your consideration, love the mod, can't wait for the new release with the Skylines and all, amazing work to you and all the people who helped you with this Nazgûl

Thank you =)

That has been up before, and my answer is: too much work for such a small thing. I've already made LOADS of art based on the BFME2 style, and I would never find the energy to redo them all. We're talking a LOT of images. Besides, many units don't have "real" photos anyway since they're not in the movies, so it would not be consistant. And above all... I kinda like the parchment style :p

Didn't they take those out of the end credits from RotK? Atleast the heroes featured in the movie?

If anyone should have mount eagle it should be Gandalf.

Maybe do it the same way you did with treebeard and the hobbits, instead of Gandalf having a power to do it (which will get rid of his other usefull powers) make him sort of garrison on the eagle, that way you won't need to higher his price, and it will actually make sense, the problem is making landing animations for eagles I guess? I mean the mechanism already exists with the nazgul, so it is possible.

It will most likely function the same way as Fellbeasts for Nazguls...

- Click button
- Gandalf fades out
- Gandalf fades in mounted on top of en Eagle at ground level
- Eagle gains altitude and reaches idle anim with G on top of neck.

It's all depending on how well the modeling goes...

Now does that mean that there will be an eagle hero along with Gandy riding an eagle? Meaning MotW will have two eagle heroes like Elves? Or are you going to only have Gandalf's eagle and take away the unridden one? Also, about the hit percentage for arrows, is there any way you can tell us what the hit percentage is for each of the archer units? I would imagine orcs and goblin archers would suck, while the Noldor elves would have the best hit percentage. Can you give us the numbers of hit %? For instance, where would dwarf axe throwers fall on the scale?
