He kills everything.
They have no wizards, but every hero is a great warrior (Gloin too).
If a player has all heros on Level 5 or higher try to kill them. It's very hard... especially, when there are some dwarves helping them and getting leadership:P^^

Add Gimlis cousin Balin ?
Isn't he dead?
I think Dwarves have enough heroes. Adding more seems to be stretching it.
As for Dwarven crossbows, yes please, and have them replace axe throwers....never liked that unit...doesn't make sense to carry 100 pounds worth of throwable melee weapons into a battle. Its as ludicrous as a sword thrower. Throwing one small axe, sure. Throwing dozens of them and carrying a whole bunch more??
As I said, bring on the crossbows.

Haldir and Boromir took part in the War of the Ring and were featured rather prominently as heroes within the movies, thus Nazguls obvious choice to retain them. Balin was cold and horizontal in a stone box for much if not all of the War.
Thats the major difference. No Balin!

She did...she fought in the north, defended Lothlorien, and then was part of the final assault on Dol Guldur....she was personally credited for "throwing down the walls" of Dol Guldur. I think the SEE team did a marvelous job with her character, great powers, really relevant.
However back to the dwarves, I honestly think we have all the heroes that we need and that we know enough of from the fiction to make substantial, necessary heroes. I'd just like to see dwarf crossbows replace axethrowers. Hell, I wouldnt mind drawing up some concept art to help out

I was just thinking a little on the naval side of things and what dwarves might use but all I could think of was mines. Not the mines dwarves tunnel into the ground in but mines as in exploding. I was thinking of a simple barrel that could be rolled out of the boathouse by two dwarves to go floating on the water. Once the player purchases it from the boathouse and it is built the two dwarves would roll the barrel to the ends of the boathouse launching rails and their they would stop.
And once the player clicks on the two dwarves the cursor turns into that little blue star when over water and the player clicks on the place that he/she wants the barrel to float to. Once this is decided the two dwarves will roll the barrel into the water and it will float to the position the player chose. Once their though it will bob up and down a little and temporarily go out of sight when it goes under the water. Any ships that sail into it will be joining Davey Jones real soon.
Another aspect to this might be a new unit for the dwarves. Almost a seige unit not unlike the bomb carriers that the isenguard faction has. But these two dwarves would give this barrel a shove and it would roll into the enemy and explode on contact.

G'day to all

Love the naval mine idea TT. How about an actual mine "laying" boat, similar to a boxy water version of a battlewagon, that has two dwarves just throwing mines out the back....they just float there on the water and actually have drift so that they sem to move with the current. This way the dwarves can at least set up naval defenses and influence sea battles if not outright take to the waters themselves in their own warships (which I think we would agree seem largely inappropriate to the culture).

Off-Topic: However, there is this quote to consider for Mordor-
"...he saw fires spring up, across in the dim spaces where the walls of the Pelennor stood...there was a red flash, and slowly through the heavy air dull rumbles could be heard."
-Page 799-800, The Siege of Gondor, Book V, The Return of the King.
But this is the wrong place for that, so don't change the topic to it
Cheers,

That idea sounds even better mate I think the naval side of bfme2 could do with some work on it but with everything else the SEE team is doing at the moment I think naval battles are way way waaaaaaaay down the list of thing that might be done. And that's ok. Theirs plenty more important things the SEE team is already working on.
G'day elfhelm
Fair enough, not all my ideas are a winner probably about 99.5% of my ideas are not useable for various reasons. But I figure even if I have one idea that with the help of the forum grows into a great idea it all adds to a good forum experience.

I like everything but the natures fury power. How about a smaller version of elven wood to replace it?

-Resources- Dwarven resources are great if you are playing inside a fortress (Such as Minas Tirith). The mines and such work great but I have difficulty playing as the Dwarves outside of a fortress. The Mithral Mines work great but the normal Mine shafts are a bit useless as they only get 1 resource even when at 100% efficiency. I think that a maximum of 10 would make it better and a little easier.
-Building times- I feel that they are just a bit too long. I love and get the realism but waiting 5 minutes for Guardians is a bit much. For the special units like Dwarven Berserkers, I can see the longer waiting time. If you're getting hammered by an enemy, you need the small units much quicker.
Other than that, the heroes are pretty good. A little bit strong but overall one of the best balanced factions.
