As for the speed issue, maybe to could give them a Power (kind of like the Elven Gifts), added to the Spell Book, giving them a boost in armor/attack for all the Dwarves except for the Heroes of course. So that way, they're still slow, but can really take/give out damage. Simple, yet highly effective for their cause.

Powers like that are too OP. Only Darkness and Freezing Rain should be unit remain since those can be countered with Cloudbreak and Sunflare.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

that's not too oped, strider. That's the kind of thing dwarves need. Kind of like the CaH power "toughness", but for everybody.

the game has to be winnable, and to counter technology, u get your ow. upgrade your own troop's performance with better weps and armor, along with similiar abilities. that's my view.
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.

But is easier to think that there's 100 arrows in the quivers than 100 axes. I tink that the best idea would be a ranger like unit, like a basic axeman/archer, an hybrid unit who switch from crossbow to hand axe. They would have a small range and little meele damage, but with fast production, been like a early game span unit. Mabye if this ranger like unit could be add the axetrovers could be keeped as elite or medium game archer unit.

Anyone liked the idea? :)

me does.

Dwarves need vehicles. don't care how off it is...dwarves need something epicly different from everybody else. So maybe Steam-Powered...or horse drawn, for that matter, could be the dwarven style of warfare. Perhaps the eventual fate of the demolisher.

Personally I'd like to remove the Beast from dwarves and give to Mordor, as some kind of unit. Maybe to pull their catapuls instead of two puny orcs...

Instead the dwarves should have horses for their battle wagons and siege units. Don't know if any of our modelers would like to do that though :)

About the archer/axe issue. Just check the thread ^. Crossbows are coming at some point later on...

I think that the beast from the dwarves could act like siege and replce the mumakil and they kind look
like the great beasts that pulled the Grond :)

That was sorta what I was going for... But I'm not so fond of them as siege (Mumakil (or these)) but rather as uber cavalry. First we would need to replace them with horses though...

No I agree, but they would need some kind of animal to pull things and ponies might work. Just rescale the horses... :p

The beasts should look awesome in full blown "movie size" for Mordor... But they would need new anims to attack though.

You could alternatively just forgoe any kind of dwarven cavalry unit, and instead give them cavalry from dale. Although that could make them a bit too much of 'dale' faction rather than dwarves!

a couple billion times, actually....

anyway, dwarves need a specialty unit IMO, and not one that's just uber powerful. they need a technician of some kind, one to completely bambloozify their opponents.

Are going to be add that Balin model that was posted before? Even thought that Bilbo and Bard (or Brand, I don't remember) are going to be add, the dwarves are still in prejudice (I don't remember a better word for this :p). Mabye that Blain could be called Thorin Stonehelm or something like that.

Well...there could be unit caps, u know. and they have to get out of harms way, too. Just like Ghosts calling down nukes in Starcraft.
