Rippers extract the essence of monsters (enemies). They extract powers (health and such) and use them to enhance your abilities.

Though he may be thinking of something else. But that's the only definition of a ripper I know of.

I was wondering if there's any requirement to produce the Miners. I mean, like for MotW you should build the Golden Hall to produce the peasants. So mabye for the miners could be required to build like a Iron Hills Mine. It would allow to produce the Miners, mabye a new upgrade and a new basic infantry unit: Iron Hills grunts. They could be a dwarven men of dale swordsman (with swods, to avoid stereotypes), and for the future the man of dale could be a ranger like, with sword/bow toggle. Also this Iron Hills mine would allow to make some new heroes, mabye Bofur and Bombur. And been a mine, could be add resource production, and would be limited to one.

Mabye it could be renamed. I just called Iron Hills Mine to make the connection with the miners, but it could be called anything else (Hall, Embassy, Barracks, Blacksmith are some of the ideas I had), or rename the Mithir Mine and make it produce MUCH more resources (since it would be limited to one). It could have the same price of the Golden Hall. I don't know exactly with structure you decided for Library, but the one you post in the Library tread would fit perfectly for this.

I think that this could be a good addition to all the factions, have a "spam" unit, a "subfaction" building that allows the production and mabye you could realocate or create new heroes.

Just a couple of ideas for those buildings:
Elves
Mithlond Sentry
Mordor
Mabye Haradrim Acampment?
Isengard
Something related to the Ruffians that opressed the Shire.
Goblins
Someting related to Gundabad
MotW
Already have
Dwarves
Iron Hills Mine (or whatever Naz decide)

Now that the Dwarves will get the Khazad Guard, wich will be the destiny of the Berzekers? With a bit of skinning, they could be nice Iron Hills Grunts :thumbsupdrool:

I like the hammers :D

Maybe they could be used as a "fast" dwarven unit. They would be lightly armored, yet would get places fast. Of course, that would call for a name change...

And maybe they'd have a high attack too.

Thats a good idea. Since we have Khazad Gaurd now we dont need to elite melee units so how about make them early-game scouts instead?

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Dwarves and swords just doesn't work, dwarves = axes and hammers, as simple as that (maybe shortswords, but I don't remember even one dwarf with a sword).

Look, up in the sky, a bird, a plane, no, its...LOREMAN!!! HE HAS COME TO SOLVE ALL OUR LORE PROBLEMS!!!

Yes Dwarves did uses swords. The Sword is not much less common for a Dwarf then an axe. People only accociate Dwarves to Axes so much because of Gimli. Why one of the most famous Dwarves ever, Thorin Oakenshield, used a Sword.

I didn't claim I know lore that well, its just from other games and most places that dwarves use hammers and axes mostly, it just makes sense.
