Goblins are stacked up on heroes already...I think the snow and hill troll should go anyway.

I haven't read the Hobbit in a looooong time, so correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't smaug killed? Bard killed him with a bronze arrow or something, that killed Smaug over Lake-town and he fell onto the city, crushing everything right?

Edit: I just did some research, and I'm right. :p
But it was a black arrow. Not bronze.

Drogoth was made up by ea.

Smaug is way cooler, and will at least be in campaign :p

Doing what in the campaign? All he did was occasional raids on Lake-Town.

True, but I would still like a mission with him and Lake-Town. Don't know why, but I almost feel as though Smaug should be replacing Drogoth... Anyone else feel this way?

Also something to note, that will stray us off-topic, but there has been recent talk that The Hobbit will be made into a movie.

There's a topic for the Hobbit movie here

I think Drogoth will be fine staying where he is. Smaug is dead by the time of the war of the ring anyway.

Besides chasing away all the dwarves from Erebor... that's about what we know about him
A map while you chase away dwarves could be cool... but also not :p

Linear will strictly follow the books for good, evil will be somewhat different, obviously.

But there won't be an evil battle of the five armies mission :)

Would someone care to explain what linear, non-linear and semi non-linear all mean in the context of BFME?

Also Yoda, in the Battle of Five Armies, what good faction will you assume command of? Or would it be all the good factions (I hope)? And how about Beorn who defo takes part in this battle (albeit near the end, but still an undeniable role)?

Semi nonlinear? Lol?

Nonlinear is the living world map, like bfme1. You can play out wotr any way you want. This is the current 10 or whatever missions in campaign.

Linear is bfme2 style campaign. Units don't carry over, you can't pick where to go, etc. This is currently the sampler moria mission.

You won't get a faction, you'll just have units to command. Some mirkwood elves, dwarves, and men of dale, along with the heroes.

From the Campaign section of RJ-RotWK official site:

"As an introduction, this campaign was created because when BFMEII came out, myself and those I play with REALLY missed the campaign style from BFME1 - (semi non-linear with great battles and maps.) The campaign could be replayed so many times with infinite possibilties - almost."

It's ok to carry on laughing... :)

I guess semi-linear means it's non-linear, but at certain times, you had to go to certain places.

I've always wanted to do a Battle of the Five Armies mission. I kind of reinact it in skirmish with teams, but that's hardly the same.

Would we get all of Thorin's company, Bard, Thranduil, Gwahir (sp?), and Beorn as heroes? Because that is a HELL of a lot of heroes.
