All in All MotE Is Still Better than Evil Men

Now the hard part is how to fit "Men of the East" into the drop down.....Men of the West were just listed as "Men".

I think Men of the East will work just fine instead of Evil Men. While no perfect it does work better.

Haradrim weren't from the east though, they were men of the south so putting them in the faction and calling them MOTE is just plain wrong. doing it is slaughtering the good name of tolkien. i am however not a tolkien purist so it does not matter to me

so unless harad & rhun are getting split (which will never happen cuz it's fine as it is now) I wouldn't call the faction MotE.

For me the name does not really matter.

I know, how about "Evil Men aligned with Sauron from the Distant Lands of Rhun and Harad, with a couple other things thrown in". hmmmmm.......I don't think that will work. Again, I personally really don't care what they are called.

As for the Hasharin, I am using then in a simplier fashion as the Brigands from the tavern. For the Haradrim I wanted more of the Black Serpent guard as the hero hordes. Right now they are only on horseback with a texture I played around with. In the future I hope to improve their model/skin.

i dont know why everyone thinks that harad wouldnt work for men of the east. for gods sake look at a map, theyre pretty much as far east as south. its also relative to all the good factions as someone said, theyre east of the free peoples.

Minions of the Dark Lord is far too general. that encompasses all of the orcs, trolls, hounds, spiders, goblins, etc. that wer serving Sauron. 1 culd argue that it also encompasses uruk-hai, altho they wer controlled by Saruman and he was not realy a minion per se, but still under the influence of Sauron. so as u c its 2 broad.

the thing about Harad, is it was southeast, so it still makes sense. i mean most of it is mor east than minas tirith and helms deep. so y cant it b considered east?

i wanna call em MotE!

All right. This I will leave completely up to the beta team on what they are called. I'll put together a list of suggestions and create a poll. Whichever wins when 1.05 goes public, that will be their name.

So far:
Men of the East
Evil Men
Minions of the Dark Lord

Let me know if there are others you'd like in the mix. I'll narrow the field down to 4 or so when the poll is ready.

How about Corrupted Men or Corrupted East? I don't like Minions of The Dark Lord either, doesn't sound right...

When we say "Corrupted Men" and "Evil Men", we can also include Dunland, so I think Men of the East is better. Besides, Harad is in the east too, south of Mordor. We are referring to those who are not from the western side of the Anduin.
