wow, good all-around mike. :) But what throws me off about him is that he's a BN yet he has Haradrim lineage, unless not biologically then never mind that. :) I think maybe the Puppet Master ability for him may be OP concerning siege weaponry. I could see him using a Theoden model skeleton for the mount/dismount purposes.

i like it much, and it looks even lore based.

the only thing im not sure is that 50% to catapult attack speed, and dmg, thats some hefty siege roling down there, but eventually it would suit angmar, as stoner throwers though weak, are easy to spam.

Good job on breaking it up Mike with a great idea. Other than the Haradrim thing that Shadow mentioned (unless he was raised in Harad, which is what I assume that you mean't to type). He sounds very satisfactory for an early game hero and I think that he would fit in perfectly in that role.

I like the idea of having a siege weapon leadership. I honestly do but in this case I think that it should either be; a leadership completely devoted to units or a leadership completely devoted to siege weapons. The percentages also need to be looked at.... I would also like to see a siege-weapon leadership used in the Dwarves because I think that it would suit them well.

Once again I think that Tar (I am not spelling out his full name either!) is what Angmar needs right now.

P.S: I now know what a Balrog bleeds! :)
I hope I didn't start anything up again, with that comment^^. If it's only going to stir up emotions, ignore it or PM me and I'll edit it out....

oooo yeah Lauri thats the spirit girl. Finally some fine offense.

Yeah, well... That one there was quite offensive ;)

its just, that balrog has something like magma instead of blood ( if the movie balrog, is like the book balrogs ), and when magma cools down ( thought its lava after it gets on the surface ), it creates obsidian. The whole idea was that to create powerfull cursed weapon.

Well, then say so :) I've never thought about if the Balrog has magma or blood as.. blood :) (Seriously doubt it's magma though) I still think it's a silly idea with a weapon out of somethings blood, but at least you have backed up your reason, which is good :p Well, since it's valid reasons :p So yeah, thing done with and dealt with, we're through on that part..

And yes, mike's idea is quite nice.. Yet, The Puppet-Master seems like an OP power... 30% speed increase is very fast for troops, and screws up the anims... The siege part is okay though, if not a tad OP aswell with 50% :p

He isn't of Haradrim ancestry; his ancestors just came to power over them.
As for the leadership buffs, feel free to change them as needed. I just thought that'd be a good, unique leadership effect.

Indeed it is. ^_^ I say lower the unit leadership to either 20% or low enough so it doesn't screw up animations, whichever comes first. :p As for the siege part, maybe around 25-30%?

Don't like the last power...could be something better ^_^ Arrow volley and barrage are used so much already. Other than that, only leadership %s are an issue.

i think a combination of arrows and rocks, is quiote interesting since these two were newer combined togather into one power.

He shouldn't be an early hero as that's what Hwaldir (I think that's his name...) is for, but a good mid/late hero if he's gonna replace Rogash. All in all, I generally agree with his powers though it may be good to adjust the leadership effect (as was said, the speed/rate-of-fire ones shouldn't be so high, and maybe an armor buff or something or even more attack would be good) and throw in a blademaster-type ability.

For his last power, perhaps making people around him invincible or something or a big debuff for enemies would work. IDK, but something along those lines would be better than another barrage or arrow volley imo and would really add to his role as a late-game leadership hero.

i still think that arrows + rocks ( pierce and siege dmg ), is good enough, 2 in one, even twix wouldnt be better

the problem with the last power is that the arrows become superfluous. the catapult stones would kill anything that the arrows would kill, but hte arrows would not do the same for the stones. see what im saying?

weird, why does siege type do full dmg to units ?
of course when o rock of that size hits you, you are dead, but i mean in the terms of gameplay the siege tipe should be weaker against units.

ahh but if we made a change like that, the realism vs. gameplay debate would come up, and, like you said, if a massive boulder lands on you, you're not getting up ^_^

you could still have the power, its just that the arrows would be more of an aesthetic component rather than a useful one.

Clearly there is no harm in having an effect visually that actually has no bearing on gameplay.

For his last power I'm all for either a huge de-buff or the arrow-volley. The arrows can be eye-candy for all I care ^_^ .
