very good points ^. I have had a couple other thoughts on this, I think the whole "elendil" power is useless unless you are trying to get aragorn out of a massive conflict, but it makes no sense in context. In fotr he cries elendil when jumping off the ruins on amon hen to attack the uruk scouts. so why not move the sound portion of elendil to the blademaster ability, so when it activates he cries out ELENDIL! With the army of the dead issue would it be possible to have it so if aragorn dies while the spell is active the go to. or prehaps make it so that the aod cant go too far from him. just some thoughts about that!

Yeah do register

I have an alternative...

1) We do as you say, move the "Elendil" sound to the BladeMaster, and maybe rename (swap name) Blademaster into Elendil or something... but have him actually use the sword instead of just scaring. We could KEEP the scare effect too though, which would make him really devastating since the enemy in closest vicinity retreats while Aragorn kills them by the numbers...

2) We create a Brego mount and use it for the free slot where Elendil power was.

3) We remove Army of Dead hordes, and replace with King of the Dead, with Leadership to the Army units, summoned by the Spell Book power. This way Aragorn can STRENGHTEN the AoD without actually summon the "whole" army by himself. And we already have a very nice model donated from Wars of Arda for the King of the Dead, in that case ;)

Biggest problem is #2 which would require some time for a good modeler to make the mount actually look/work like a mount... :D

hmm, that sounds really good actually. I think play testing would help get a better feel for how it works and its effectiveness though. The thing that bugs me with the enemies running away is that, how many actually would get killed before scattering out of range. although its kinda like in the books where enemies fled before anduril on the battle field, the fear of the blade remade was supposedly very great. is that really useful? granted you made it sound waaaaaaaaay cooler naz.

I think Gwahir should be moved to MotW, and leave the elves with thier unlimited amount of Eagles.

ok so i had some thoughts regarding the aragorn mount issue, but I doubt that this is easier than the other way, but here goes.. Why not use the faramir model that already has a mounted version and just reskin it, without replacing faramir, apply anims for the unmounted version and the sounds and powers. so basicly its faramir that looks like, sounds like, and has the powers of aragorn of course without replacing faramir or changing his models.

May i remark that mounted Faramir is basically a mounted Theoden copy? :good:

At least he is using the same bones and animations.

I never even noticed that. :good:
So I guess there will be no problem reskinning to Aragorn then?

Oh... So that's why Faramir's horse sometimes fell on top of him when he died!

I had an idea for boromirs horn of gondor power, would it be possible to have it not only scare enemies away but draw allies to him like in fotr? and it would be cool if the sound for it was replaced with the actual one from fotr with the three blasts.

There's only one problem with the soundpart! The sound in the movie comes from far away, you never hear it when Boromir is in frame. So it will sound really wierd if I'd try and just squeeze up the volume or EQ the sound closer...so the soundpart is...not doable.

hmm are you absolutly sure about that I think the extended edition of fotr has a couple of moments when hes right in the thick of things and blowing the horn, its not that i doubt you but im gonna check for my self. chances are there is other unwanted audio in the background though.

ok so i just ran through fotr extended edition the first triple blast is off in the distance and a little low sounding, but comes from my left channel on DTS. there is one that 2 of the 3 blasts have boromir directly on screen and to be honest the horns blast is no more impressive than the ones off in the distance, the final blasts is off in the distance in the right channel of my speakers, I wonder if isolating the channels might help. I dont pretend to know jack squat about this. my suggestion would be to pull the horn sounds try each in game and if its crap just remove it. couldnt hurt.

@ Naz: I'm liking the brego mount idea, but about the AotD leader, what kind of leadership can he give to an already immortal, devestating power? The only thing I can think of at the moment is for them to be more damaging to buildings.

Alright! If there's two "In your face" blasts...then it's no problemo. Two might even be enough, but I could just copy one of them and make it three blasts... :xcahik_:

I think it is impossible but the army of the death could live longer, if they're near to Aragorn :xcahik_: (as long as they are near aragorn they loose lifetimenot so fast)

Well... 1) Stay longer, 2) More damage, 3) More units? Something like that... =)

well i've been thinking:
Aragorn is the King who can summon the Army of the Dead.
but it is possible to summon a devastating horde of rotten dead soldiers without him thanks to spellbook powers. My point is: it doesn't make sense to put it in as a spellbook power.

so delete the power from the spellbook and make the Army of the dead only summonable by Aragorn. Perhaps more units(which will automaticly mean longer recharge time), and no Overpowered building destruction. That's more the Balrog kind of thing.

only need to think of a new spellbook power... :xd:
