I really dislike the idea of Libra becoming any sort of dictator. Her character is very much one-sided, we haven't seen her doing anything other than butchering entire armies, which is while very much appealing, is a completely different thing from ruling people. I don't think there are enough missions left in act 2 to show any other side of her personality, or to make any sort of organic chracter development possible. We haven't seen any sort of capability from her to think tactically, although it would completely make sense if she received a very extensive military training besides honing her psychic talents, it's not mentioned anywhere. And not only she's not charismatic, it's pretty much canon that only her clones can tolerate her presence on the long run. Ruling people just through brute force is not possible, intimidating people will only make them run away and hide at best, openly rebel at worst, some charisma is needed. More importantly, there's no clue that she has a desire to rule anything. She seems to be content with killing a few hundred soldiers every now and then.

I think her character would have needed much more elaboration, similarly to what happened to Yunru. Maybe in Act 3, if there's going to be one.

Her personality is nearly similar to Nero's. Except with a child-like temper and had psychic powers.

There is nothing to elaborate about it.

I think Flandre has it spot on with a Nero comparison.   Libra as a dictator basically is a child saying "I WANT THIS".

As far as why anybody would listen to her --- well, one, if she's the core of the MO device, and that malfunctions -- then it could actually be enslaving everyone to Libra's will directly.   As far as ruling through brute force -- if her suppressor is destroyed in the process of whatever happens in Antarctica, who knows what kind of crazy psychic phenomena she could manifest to keep people in line.  That being said, I'm guessing said dissenters would be few, since they'd have to naturally be resistant to mind control in the first place.

I'm guessing the MO device's mind control would be like the old school Dominators, too.   No link to break -- once it's done, it's done, or at least it will seem that way at the beginning of Act 3.   Maybe Foehn or others will come up with a way to reverse it, maybe not.

I agree, the Nero comparison is somewhat accurate.

I'd really like to see some sort of character development on her part.

Btw, reading the added briefings for previously released Epsilon missions (as I'm doing those right now), and in Lizard Brain, Yuri mentions that he sees an opportunity in the existence of the Chrono Legion's tech. Fast forward to him working on something with the old Chronosphere... and yeah, that's all I have. Just one more mystery, I guess. :p

Edit: Blood Rage's briefing kinda confirms that you control a different commander/proselyte in the Spec Ops missions, similar to the Coop missions.

Closest hunch I've got is some sort of combination of psychic and chrono technology. Maybe Yuri's South Pole base may hold more than just a worldwide mind control device. Perhaps it won't just dominate everyone on the planet, but also erase the history, ideologies of both Soviet and Allied among the victims, so even if they were freed somehow, their memories before they get mind-controlled would no longer exist. Almost like how Red Alert 1 started (Hitler got erased, so nobody knew he existed but the time traveler) but on a massive scale.

There are many hint that Last Bastion will be first Fohen Subfaction. more hint is...

- Alaska very far from antartica that will take less effect from MO Device.
- Last Bastion may be mean of last stand of man kind.

- Most prototype specific unit of Last Bastion make debut first.

Your first and second 'hints' are more of a personal opinion than plausible proof. The third one is spot on, however.

In the nap editor, there is 4 russian palace buildings that if put together, it looks like a building from the plateau (the one with 4 tank statues) in st Petersburg/Leningrad (last allied mission in RA3), so i think one of the remaining Soviet missions could be there. Maybe the deaths hand is there.

Assuming they will be used, I'd guess Fatal Impact myself. A climatic battle for Moscow has been built up for a bit, and it would make sense as a finisher for Soviets with Leningrad leading up to it, especially since Fatal Impact was added to the roster a bit later than the other missions.

Mostly in it for the lore. Although, I do enjoy basebuilding as well.

The message after Tainted Empire claims that the Foehn is heading straight to the Bering Strait. I can infer that a naval mission is likely next if it is set in said strait.

Assuming that Babel is the mission where the Mental Omega activates, Vision happens at the same time and is either racing the clock to get to Bering Strait to be safe under the cover of signal jammers or a defense mission where we need to protect the signal jammers from Epsilon/Chinese forces.

We all know Foehn will lead the fight against Epsilon in Act 3, but will the Soviets and Allies leave any impact?

The Soviets might kill Yuri in Fatal Impact or Death's Hand, which is rather significant.

The Allies are doomed to fail, but will they somehow strike a blow against Yuri in Hamartia, or will it be a downer ending like Sunlight?

being allies is suffering

I've been wondering if Yuri will try to use his Chronosphere to get somebody aboard the Paradox Engine -- Reality Check?
