Coordnode is barely used really. They're giving EA a hopefully better substitute for this as far as i've heard

I think nobody uses the Chronolift either.

The problem with Chronolift is that its a bit of a niche ability thats SUPER lategame
Considering that you need Warphsop AND Chronosphere to be able to access it, combine that with its rather limited range, and the fact that I don't see Allied players building Chronosphere all that frequently, its not really a surprise that Chronolift is underused.

Everyone seems to be arguing over how Yunru came into such a position of power,

yet nobody is willing to explain how Rahn's weapon is able to teleport a pair of shorts.

Idk if coordnode effect has any real impact, +15% damage increase on something that can never (save for Skyray) oneshot most of stuff in game (even with that buff) is not a big deal, unless there are large clusters of defences, but does anyone really build that many outside of chokepointy maps or basecrawl strats? And even for basecrawl strats, I think you'd want an extra prism tower for +100% more damage rather than a purely support thing for +15%. Make that +15 into +50, nerf the price and other stats if necessary, then we're talking. I'd rather had expensive thing that does its job and makes a strategic difference rather than a meh thing that doesn't change much but isn't expensive so you don't care if that investment paid off or not.

Adding chronolift functionality to that node will certainly make Chronolift viable for something more serious than memes and teamgame strategies with 2 Warpshops or prism tower drops on chokepoints. Though I already can see Allies becoming much more annoying with that thing, especially for team prism tower basecrawl (it will be possible to teleport your ally's defence clusters to the front line outside the reach of his/your warpshop).

Personally I can imagine an interesting gimmicky singleplayer mission, maybe related to that Tower Defense mission I suggested many months ago, where the player would have a line of these new buildings around the map and they'd have to defend against the enemy by tactically chronolifting turrets and prismtowers around the map.

Okay here's a rad idea. Damfoos is kinda right if I think about it the way he explained it. But I think I'm also right when I say that features shouldn't be removed from vanilla factions. So why not take the Coordnode, and buff it but not by making the damage bonus it gives higher, but by adding the functionality of its intended replacement to it? That way we get the thing needed to make Chronolift useful, keep the Coordnode, and buff it too.

Not sure if merging target designation and temporal manipulation into a single structure is a good idea design-wise. And while it sure does make the node more appealing to build, it doesn't solve the issue of its damage bonus being insignificant, it will simply become a bonus to the chronolift support.

But I think I'm also right when I say that features shouldn't be removed from vanilla factions.

But again, if they're getting any replacement (especially if it's better one) it should be fine, no?

As for why I said it's getting replacement... well, Alstar said that in Discord, so yeah.

I like using coordnodes, I think they are fine, but a plus 10% or so buff won't hurt them.
And does the coordnode buff garrisoned civilian and tech buildings too? Because they got the red arrow, but I'm not sure.

I have an idea for chronolift: you can place the structure ANYWHERE on the map, but for a limited time? Just like how the chronosphere works in RA1 (or cloning that structure, if it's not possible.)

If it gets red arrow, it's affected, I believe

I dunno about that. You can proxy Tanya/Engi far too easily with it if that's the case, which sounds quite OP

Oh, that's true. I thought you can only chronolift 2x2 max. I don't play as allieds too often :D

I also think it's worth changing the look of the Chronolift, if it's possible. It is sometimes difficult to predict whether a building will teleport if the surface is uneven or full of trees or signs. Trifle of course, but uncomfortable.

I think such indicator isn't possible atm really. You just have to predict it

Yeah, even one cell included would be enough to port in the whole building

The feature is a recent thing, and besides, Foehn infantry was supposed to go down to Size=1 eventually. The plan is for all infantry to take 1 slot in a transport in the end.

Just imagine 2 giantsbanes and 2 godsbanes in a battle tortoise. And 10 of those. Instant win pretty much. :D
Heck, I'm gonna experiment with it tonight just to see how OP would it be.
