Is there any way to make structures that require power not require power?

I'd rather not just give the player a free power plant to power this structure at start, if possible.

Change "powered=yes" to "powered=no"?

I have gotten into mapping for mental omega and I think its time to release my first custom mission. This mission is named "Dead Sea" and its a Allied mission in Antarctica that takes place more or less between Insomnia and Unthinkable. As the Allies advance towards the South Pole, Epsilon has called in reinforcements from around the world, a task force has been deployed in the Ross Sea to destroy an Epsilon base responsible for fielding and coordinating the aforementioned reinforcements.

The objective of this mission is simple: just destroy all Epsilon production structures to win, however, that is easier said that done. Also, your sole source of income in this mission is oil derricks which you only start off with two, and to acquire more you need to island hop to capture more oil derricks.

To play this mission just drag the files into your mental omega directory and run "Insomnia"

Have fun. Also feedback of this mission is appreciated as its my first one.

Not that I'll love to say, but starting the mission off by insta-crashing isn't exactly what I had hoped for -_-"

Don't mind me, I'm just pretty broke nowadays...

Like the mission crashes as soon as you launch it? I

I have no clue what the reason is, but i'm sorry to hear that. Idk, but i'll try to figure why. It works fine on my mental omega though

I'm sorry for interrupting the ongoing topic which is being concerned in this thread,
So, I need a help on this problem. How to make enemy houses to automatically repair their structures when the structures get attacked or scratched by any source of damage. In a singleplayer mission that i'm trying to make now, the enemy houses can't automatically repair their structures although the structures have been set to be repaired in their property boxes. If this had to do with the INI editor, I would like to get some advice from anyone who knows that tools for long time. But I will be open for anyone who wants to reply this problem, especially the ones that are as amateur as me,

Go to Edit- Houses and make sure that you actually gave money to that house.

Are you using one of the standard houses or you added a new one? In the house's options check the IQ tab. If its set to zero than this is probably the cause of your problem.

I think you are right, enemy house's IQ must be set higher than 0. In my map I duplicated a standard house to make different sources of attacks

Hi,

I made a small covert mission of Soviets called Natural Order. The main story is some of the Russian forces are delivered to various locations throughout Russia to fully bring back the country to it's former owner by declaring war against Yuri's Epsilon headquarters. The mission which I attach in this message is one of the conflicts of the war. I appologize to you if the story differs so far from the original plot.

Download the mission here (updated on december 8th 2018).
The informations of this map can be seen in the Readme file.

I did some tests for this mission, but I haven't completed this mission with my own hands, so I would like to hear some feedbacks or suggestions for the improvement of this mission.
Thanks for your attention.

Firstly, you need to use a stringtable.
Secondly, complete it yourself first before posting it here.

P.S.: I tried it myself, and being bombarded without proper means to retaliate at the shores ain't the nicest things that could have happened to anyone

thanks for trying out that mission, I will evaluate the mission and test for each difficulty.

I find typing manual sentences in text trigger easier, if I use stringtable, it will overwrite the original file, won't it?, I will fix this mission and make other maps as well,

As of Ares implementation, you can make a new stringtable labeled 'StringtableXX' (xx being a number between 01 to 99), so you won't need toto touch original files for them

Hi, I editted my last uploaded mission which is named Natural Order. So I made changes and added some items to the map which can be seen below:

- the shores have been expanded to decrease player's vulnerability toward enemy base defense's attacks

- the mission timer has been increased from 45 minutes to 68 minutes

- "missionmo.ini", shp file, and stringtable have been added

- "BattleClient.ini" and the Readme have been updated

Download the mission here (last updated on december 8th 2018)

I consider the mental difficulty of this mission as confusing for me, because you need to race against the mission timer to complete the objective.

I haven't tried easy and normal difficulty, but I will test the map gradually. Unfortunatelly I can't record the gameplay, it may be because I use windows 8 which I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it's blackscreen issue when playing Red Alert 2 and it's relatives. If I record the gameplay by using a program like for example B*ndicam, I will only get the view of Mental Omega Client with a message "a game is in progress".

There are some problems that still exist in the gameplay, the first problem is the other texts on the menu and construction tab are shown as missing, this is probably caused by the usage of the modified stringtable, and the second is it seems we can't load any saved game from the mission or it takes so long to get the saved game loaded, and the third problem is if we restart the mission, the loading screen won't appear but the loading bar will.

Sorry for my bad english, do you have any opinions or suggestions for these problems that have been mentioned above?

Thanks for you attention.

same with me so far

In addition, I have finally finished my second custom mission "An X-Force" featuring the Soviets in the Ural Mountains during their push into Moscow. Originally, while I started this mission a month before the release of 3.3.4, I never thought this mission would fit decently with the recent soviet co-ops. This mission takes place pretty much a day before Dawnbreaker, where instead of liberating the Apocalypse tank complex, you rescue a small yet crucial X-MiG prototype research complex. And yes, if you didn't get the hint already, this mission features the X-MiG Fighters as a controllable unit-- the same X-MiGs that heroes like Morales and Boris call for airstrikes!

The objective of this mission is to recover the X-MiG research outpost and then defend the Palace in the research outpost from brutally strong Epsilon attacks. Unlike my previous custom mission, this mission I can confidently say, can range from being a decent to challenge to a total nightmare depending on your skill level.

This folder is where I store all my custom missions. "Dead Sea" is available here too.

Again feedback is always appreciated.

EDIT: Updated mission (same link above) to remove toxic strike
