Radiance Challenge (2 Player normalized version) - China challenge map

 

After their humiliating defeat against the Russians, the People's Army of China started to conduct experiments to install additional nuclear engines to their weaponries. These engines are currently unstable, but still dangerous. Intel also witnessed improved prototypes of nuclear-powered cyborgs in the research complex. Expect the worst.

It's still on beta (mostly because of some unexpected bullshits on top of the intentional bullshits), but should be mostly working and of course, challenging.

I would love to know how people are making MO maps with MO units and buildings when finalalert is not compatible until 3.3.3 is released?

Traitorous Water (BETA FINAL)

 

Briefing :

As Russian power crumbles and its' citizen under Yuri's control, a group of survivors set out to escape and warn their comrades across the world. Their only chance to escape is by taking over the fleet docked on the southern port. However, Yuri's new Epsilon army are everywhere and his new Russian underlings are hot on their trail...

Settings :
Players - Russia
AI 3 - Russia
AI 4 - Psi Corps

Objective :
1. Destroy the Psychic Beacon to secure the port
2. Escort the Stalin's Fist to the port
3. Escort the Dreadnoughts to the checkpoint
4. Player 1's base must survive

HOW TO PLAY

1. Copy the files into your Mental Omega directory.
2. Search the map in the Standard option
3. Set the following

- Untick everything (except Ally Build)
- Set GameSpeed to 4
- Players are Russia in Position 1 and 2
- AI number 1 in Position 3 is Russia
- AI number 2 in Position 4 is PsiCorps

4. Play the game

very fun and very hard 

 

if enable ConYard start , player 2 have MCV, and  the PC unit Eilte . Did u buff that unit ? it's  too strong too kill.

Don't enable conyard start. use co-op default settings. I can't insert it on normal co-op mode since team has to be setup beforehand.

The Elite is invulnerable for cinematic purpose (they simply doesn't appear in gameplay, but you might get to see them when scenario ends), and the 4th player should NOT have Conyard or train any units. Having Conyard at start will trigger unwanted circumstances

When I'm using the map renderer, It doesn't draw MO-specific assets. Did I forget something in the settings, or is it because of mix protection?

did you link MO's folder in the renderer ? if yes, then the reason is probably the protection.

Mix Protection will keep it from being readable by map renderer (and Final Alert 2 too)

Concentration Challenge.

PsiCorps has constructed a research facility to enhance the psychic abilities of Libra clones. Although they are limited in numbers, their power more than makes up for it. Reports also suggest that the area is guarded by a Psychic Beacon.

 

Select the map in the Standard tab,your 3 of your opponents should be PsiCorps at  locations 3,4 and 5 respectively.

 

This map  is beta version. It's too early to say that I'm 100% satisfied with the result, but it should be totally playable.

 

Preview isn't 100% accurate, but you get the general idea.

super buffed libra and offscreen magnetrons aswell as wormqueens coming every once in a while, aswell as a psychic beacon in the middle of the map. i think thats all the gimmicks of that map, at least i didnt notice any others while playing it

May I ask you guys how you made these maps? And what tools did you use? I want to make some maps for MO but don't have any experiences. 

Btw, that Concentration Challenge by Terminal Velocity is so nicely done! I guess it's totally qualified to be included in the official patch.

Final Alert 2, but for it to work with MO, the mixes must be unlocked.

And I can't tell you how to unlock it, sorry.

Well... ive tried map making too, but since im horrible at map making... i having only an ideas xd

The first one: for my challenge idea you probably heard off in other topic. But i even failed making ramps without errors :unsure: 
The second try - creating "urban warfare" map, wheres really many garrisonnable buildings, just to enhance urban combat. But... the map looks really ugly for now. >.>
And i did not found some buildings for first map, for example (or ill too blind) old factory, and RA1 stuctures. Still, ive managed to make a small "borderline" (when i tested for first time) with a forest, wich may be the only good-looking stuff. The idea involved basic soviet walls, prison fence and sandbags. But after realizing that this was totally unplayable by all means, and unbalanced - i quit, forgetting to save that. :dry:

Maybe my ideas will come handy for more adwanced map makers. Or ill should never do the maps?

P.S - Welp, i just want to somehow contibute to the mod.

UPD: or I'm finding fault with myself too much, trying to do it very qualitatively.

The problem is... i can forget about this (im terms of placement of the structures). :D

And im afraid ill become just recent map maker. x3 (As people will make a lot of maps i think)

And, trefore, i suck at mapping as i see. So... most likely that would be a garbage.
