No worries :p It just looked rather funny. And GN haven't seen the Wolves yet, as I only I have the WiP of Beta 4.7. The BT's are testing 4.6 :shiftee2:

So...yeah. I had a thought about what to do with the fortress once the Spiders leave the goblins for good....and it would actually end up looking pretty freakin awesome. I thought that maybe you could change the texture of the webbing to look like lava, and simply call the upgrade lava armor. I thought that the individual stands had textures, but then I realized that it was a whole new model.
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.

:p

BFME1 moria is being made for the SEE mod (I am fairly certain) but theres no pillars in BFME2 moria, and I do not think any mention of it in the Books.

There is allot of artistic license taken at liberty with the movies that was not in the books; it seems some poeple want the game to follow the movie, some the books, some both (even though they differ widely at points, i.e. in the books, the elves never came to Helms Deep) ;) For me, I dont care one way or the other; the game follows the basic idea by tolkein and that works for me, plus its fun. :shiftee2:

with the work involved to the developers of SEE making just the basics of the game, I think the extra stuff can be skipped, just to give them a break. :p

thats my two cents, take it or leave it. ;)

Yep (having worked on it myself) I can say that NJM made a moria map with a whole lot of pillars not sure it is being used for see though something with how not enough building space and how RJ has build plots.

The plan is to have MOria in SEE, but I'm not sure when that will happen...

from the discussion on the Screen Shot thread, re: fire drakes

I dont mind the drakes, if only there was an equivelent to them on the opposing side. Right now, the best for taking them out that I find is an eagle. If there was some sort of single shot spear throw (or something) as readily available time-wise into the game for the faction going up against them, then that would work, I think. they (EA) probably tossed them in to make up for balance(?)

is that with a normal shot or a power? If a power, will the time recharge in time to take out another drake before losing all your battalions?

If thats the case, then it seems like a good balance to me, I dont know...whats your thoughts?

Yeah, that is his special skill shot. I think I will set it to around 30 sec reload (same for Lego and similar heroes). Remember, not much balance has been thorughly fixed for 4.5...

I experimented with a new skin for the newly added "Bolg" hero in Moria, to try and make him look like the Great Goblin painted by Howe. And I think it turned out pretty ok? So, I'm strongly considering having this model be the Great Goblin, and make the current "Goblin King" into Bolg, reskinned with armor and changed voice... That way, Bolg can mount a Warg and Great Goblin will be a really buff and strong foot hero ;)

EDIT: I foound two more unused models in BFME2... that I will make into Moria heroes... so, perhaps Goblin King could also work as Azog? As Azog was supposedly rather large too, but not fat ;) One of the other two, could be Bolg and the last one... ? Suggestions?

Maybe this one:

Golfimbul
Orc leader from the Misty Mountains. In 2747, Golfimbul led an army of Orcs from Mount Gram in the Misty Mountains into the Northfarthing of the Shire. The Orcs were defeated by a troop of Hobbits led by Bandobras Took. During the Battle of Greenfields, Bandobras charged at Golfimbul and knocked off his head with a club.

Great skins! I've got a suggestion that I came up with last night: why not give the Moria heroes some kind of permanent bodyguard? It's hard to imagine that the Goblin leaders would ever venture outside their fortresses alone. Plus the Goblins are all about great numbers, so =). It could be a mix of Swordsmen and Archers, and the heroes could have some kind of banner carrier function (they 'lead' the bodyguard and act as a respawn point). It could be a lvl 5 spell for example.

Hm yeah... well that could work, if I can code it ;) Make the gobbos slave objects of the heroes. At least the King and Great Goblin could function like that I guess...

Golfimbul it is =)
