I'm all for fixing up Eowyn. She needs a level 10 power desperately, AFAIK, her Rohirrim Disguise does nothing against AI and altogether, is just pretty silly. She's the last hero I'd want to hide from my enemy.

I wish I could find my post in this thread about my Eowyn suggestions....

Anyways, here are my thoughts on her:

- For her disguise, I think two things are going to have to be done; Either we add in some white horses for some cavalry units (like the mounted archers and Rohirrim) or we change the colour of her horse. Right now, even when Eowyn is in disguise, she sticks out like a bad car accident. Thus enabling this power useless.
- When you use her smite power, it takes Eowyn out of her disguise. Which does not make much sense to me. It also delays the Smite power. I think that this needs to be changed.

- I don't want her to have a level 10 power, maybe just a level 8 power that would maybe get a bit stronger when Eowyn is at level 10.
- I think that this new power should be a melee, single-target, attack that does massive damage to a hero. And does even more damage to Ringwraiths.

I think that these suggestions would give her a purpose that she's needed for a long time :p .

This has most likely been said before... but Ents need to suck less. :tongevil:

I'm wondering if maybe they can level up like Mountain Giants. Also though, it depends on how you effectively wield them. :tongevil:

atm, you have to make sure that nothing attacks your ents or they are going to die. so theyre quite good when there are 10 fu battallions of rohirrim, but by themselves; rubbish.
they could stand to have an armor boost, especially against pikes. i mean mountain giants are soooo much better right now, its not really even fair to compare the two.

Like dalf said, ents are fine when you have a decent army to back them up :tongevil:

But that's not how it's suposed to be!

Why else do you think the Ents won at the destruction of Isengard, even when they had several pyro-installments? The ents are too weak, fire alone should be their sole weakness. And most enemy fortresses have no limit of it.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

I think that around lv.7, Treebeard should get an upgrade that costs around 700 Rc (Resources) thats called "Aid of the Shirelings" or "Shirelings Aid", or something like that, that has Merry and Pippin sitting on Treebeard and automatically throwing rocks at nearby enemies.

Still, the ents are waaayyy too weak. Its no fun when even with a FU army and ents are attacking an enemy base and the first thing the ai targets are the ents with its fire towers and fortress and the ents seem to die without getting a hit on anything but the walls. And then the army slowly diminishes....

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiit... you're saying they're actually useful in this beta? Hold on a moment while I recap the events of the last battle:

1. I build an Entmoot.
2. The summoned ents *almost* destroy *one* building before being killed by un-upgraded Men of Dale.
3. I build four more ents (and Treebeard) and have them attack the enemy base.
4. All of them are killed by un-upgraded Men of Dale (they use their Black Arrows, and for some reason the ents run away as the arrows take away almost half of their health per volley...)
5. I set the Entmoot rally point to around... say, 100 feet away from it.
6. I revive Treebeard.
7. He is killed by un-upgraded archers before he reaches the rally point.

Fact of the matter: Ents=Way underpowered.

Play me.

While I will not reveal my super secret build order, about ten minutes into a game I have about 4-5 double hordes of rohirrim, Theoden and Eomer, and am building an entmoot.

Usually about this time I get muster the rohirrim as well, usually with enough cash for about 8-10 hordes, or 4-5 more double hordes.

I charge the the enemy. My rohirrim tear through their guys, while my summoned ents take out their buildings in about 1-2 volleys each. With treebeard, it's even faster.

Any units attacking ents are promptly taken out by my cavalry.

I think only once I've had ents die this way before their timers ran out :crazed:

I summoned the ents as Rivendell in the middle of an enemy base... they didn't even get out of the ground before they died. No, the fortress didn't have fire arrows... the ents are just pathetic that way. :crazed:

And much as I'd love to play you, I don't have internet on my gaming CPU. :) What was that little USB thing that gave you internet at the end of the rainbow? ;)

Ents are supposed to be the strongest creatures in middle earth. They could grip walls and tear them to pieces in seconds. It was like years of tree roots working in a matter of seconds. The trolls a evil mockery of them that failed. It takes a very heavy axe blow to even scratch them and then the enemy will never get a second. The arrows stick into them like a pin cushion. Their only weakness is fire. Ents need to be FU uber powerful. Nothing in middle earth is stronger.

That being said I really think that there melee attack on buildings should be a grab and tear. They grab the building and rip a piece of doing massive damage.

That I fully agree with, fire is the best chance an evil faction has against Ents, pikes would snap in seconds if the enemy were to try and impale them, ever tried skewering a mature Oak successfully?

In doing so though the cost would need to be upped tremendously as well as possibly upping the cp value or just limiting the ents
But I'm all for OP the ents :thumbsupsmiley:

Ents are supposed to be the strongest creatures in middle earth.

I would think the Balrogs or dragons would be loads stronger but then again you know more than me on the lore subject :tongevil:
However in a fight between a balrog/dragon and an ent, the ent would probably be creamed

So what you're suggesting is Entmoot:2500+, Ents:1000+, and Treebeard 2000+?

@ Wanderer: I think he was saying something along the lines of Balrogs being almost completely wiped out during the War of Wrath, and the same thing happening for dragons.
