Doesn't Gil-Galad mean star-light?

may I reccomend this site: http://www.tuckborough.net, also known as the Thain's Book, the best source of info on the Third (and Second) Age.

probably depends how you interpret the words of prof. Tolkien.. both ''star of radiance'' and ''star-light'' have something of a star in it And something of light/radiance/shiny... wich is basicly the same

All that is required is a simple reskinning (about a difficulty 1-2 on a 1-5 scale) to make Arnor spears. Also, Myster, the title of High King probably didn't pass to Elrond because he was Peredhil (I think that's what it is), half-Elven. Elrond is directly descended from Turgon, King of the Noldor, and ultimately, the have the same ancestors.

Actually they'll be pony riders, not donkey riders :p Rob hasn't found or made a model yet.

Haha. Or worse if one of the donkey's is a wise-ass like in Shrek.

Besides I can just see the derision of other players, calling them the ass brigade. Actually the most we talk about it, the better I like it LOL. Maybe even give the corsairs some donkey riders.

Just imagine the kind of crude jokes and complaints that people will make when they find out that ass pirates are available for training :p That would give RJ the completely wrong impression lol ;)

I could imagine a smartass (didn't mean for the pun...) donkey rider, but (unfortunately), it looks as though we're gonna be getting pony riders as Yoda said.

I don't want donkey or poney riders... I want Arnor to have some decent units. Have you even seen how many Hobbits the brutal npc Arnor spams? I enabled 100x comm pts and they filled most of it up with hobbits... I have no picture of this event, regretfully.

arnor doesnt need any decent unit as cawalery, they already have one ( or more precisely 2, dunedains on horses and elf cawalery )

or you want just absolute mirror race of gondor

Except that both of those units don't come until later in the game since you need an upgrade to buy them and they come at rank-2 buildings. All I want is a weak early cavalry that would be more comparable to yeoman scouts/outriders than Gondor knights

Yea, that is particularly what I want as well. Just put a basic footsoldier on a horse with a sword and an animation similar to that of the Gondor knights.

i still think its bad idea,

( i didnt like this, there are too many human races 4 already " one evil " and 3 for good, this aint normal )
gondor has just one + before arnor, he has early game cavalery, giving the same to arnor, there wont be any difference between those two factions. or sorry yup there will be diference, Arnor will have late game units ( mentioned up before ) and gondor wont have a thing.

If this is what you guys want, no problem with me, i stick even more to MotE then, though i liked to play for the white city too and seeing this makes me wanna

Well, why shouldn't Arnor get some basic pikes and cavalry? I think that a stables or similar building MUST be added for the horses but Arnor can't even make it to the late game versing a brutal unless it has at least semi-decent early game units. All the heroes are shitarse expensive except Argeleb and Carthaen (Argeleb is kinda worthless). They need to fill the breach with 2 new types of early game units. Also, Gondor and Arnor were sibling kingdoms, they were almost EXACTLY alike. Hobbits are early game units but they are FAR OVERLY SPAMMABLE.

i know they were FAST ALIKE hotshot, chill your head first then speak.

i newer said a word of pikes

also about the brutal, if arnor is set to brutal and fights with another brutal " NON ARNOR " race he is usually the one who pushes the enemy not reverse.

Adding same like units to arnor means, that gondor looses even the bits of worth he has. What my point is, is to get diferent unique races to choose, not some mirror copys of each other.
