IMO Mountain giants are most annoying, if thay get to level 10 they are almost immortal!

...see, now you know how I feel playing that Mordor army! :p I agree, trolls in general are annoying.

Would it be possible to have goblins cower in fear for a few seconds while being attacked by Gandalf, Frodo, etc? The swords were enough to scare the fiends to give the heroes time to attack if I remember correctly.

Any goblin/orc should scare a lot easier than a man.

I like the idea, but unless there's an anti-fear leadersership hero nearby, that kinda puts Mordor and the Goblins factions at serious risk, a real bummer if you're playing them, when the next thing you know Gandalf comes to ground you're army's efficiency to a halt
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

I'm thinking it should only effect lv 1 though because after a while the goblins conquered their fear. Banner carriers offer a little courage.

And the cowering only last for a bit, so eventually they would be able to attack Gandalf.

interesting idea. as long as it only lasts for a short time, im all for it.
should probably include all orcs/goblins but not uruks.

I think that this concept would "turn the tables" in matches way too quickly for some factions..

Ok how about it only works once until a hero is killed. It would only work with Gandalf or Aragorn or Frodo because there swords are known across middle earth. Aragorn's could work only on orcs though. And it only effects units in a radius around the hero.

im thinking it should have a very small aoe to help balance it out a bit. something similar to the size of aragorn's elendil power. otherwise im thinking that we would be seeing entire armies cowering and getting ripped to shreds; a little op.

Yeah basically make it so your legendary heroes are just a little bit more legendary. I don't think it would be OP at all if it had a rather small radius. It would let these heroes be as powerful against the rabble as they were.

If the stance button is to be removed, the fear could be added as a power similar to good faction cowering at the witchking or whoever else.

Since the the infancy stages of the new Ring System are being implemented, I noticed that the Goblins are at a disadvantage considering Drogoth is strictly a flying hero, and having fought a Wotr RTS battle with him, theres a significant problem right there. So more than likely, perhaps that one other dragon (name evades me) should be the replacement major army hero and have Drogoth as a recruitable?

Do you mean replacing Drogoth with a more versatile dragon?

I also wonder if the Half-trolls could either be renamed or replaced, scince there are no such things as Half-Trolls, the word is only used to describe the men of Far-Harad, who were powerful and muscular like trolls
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

Sort of. If you play Goblins in skirmish, I'm referring to that one dragon hero that's grounded. I once suggested that the Half-Trolls be renamed Hobgoblins. iirc they did exist in Tolkien's world.
