Probably an oversight.

What? Morales has died canonically or something? I thought once you lose him it's the same old: " we'll send stealth medics to pick him up "
@Damfoos
Maybe Yunru is hiding all the Foehn units so we don't kill them? who knows.
Foehn isn't far at all, there are a few buildings in this mission already following the " colour scheme " of Foehn, gray buildings with Haze Green colour, actually I don't know which green this is, Seaweed green maybe?

Foehn is definitely close, because I think we reached the point in the story where their origin story starts (considering it was confirmed that at least the first origin mission will be released in 3.3.3).

Just saw your speculationabout Rashidi having ties with the Chinese... Guess we have an origin for potential Epsilon defectors for Foehn... Man, imagine what their campaign with look like. The juicy lore...

I'm start to thinking that Foehn is not so different to Epsilon after all

Its a MIDAS. I think Morales was caught in the blast. No amount of Tech Hospitals will save him now.
I assume Yunru and apparently those Mastodons hid into that tunnel.
The MIDAS was probably launched to destroy any evidence of the proto-Foehn base, so Epsilon will least expect them when the Revolt finally begins.

@umbracatervae Foehn possibly having Rashidi on their side doesn't mean it's a half arsed copy of Epsilon : P
@Tathmesh
Yep, just completed the mission on 8th try, maybe a " body was never found " situation happens? who knows.
It's good on Yunrus side, we're finally getting Foehn lore boys, hell ye

I absolutely love the fact we have allies in two huge missions now, THANKS SANDMAN
And they're quite decent aswell, even though Latin Confederation attack was a bit scripted.

"It seems we have miscalculated!"
Literally everytime Allies deal with psychic technology.
This is the Allies's Hamartia. They'll be fighting at the Mental Omega and their psychic specialist will be like "Oops. We miscalculated, there's actually 10 minutes left not 2 hours"

Okay, I finally started playing the new missions as well. On Easy, as always.
So, Solais Rage Mode in 5
4
3

....
Actually not much. I played Paranoia, finished it on Easy for the first try. It was a doozy, was worried about making a fatal mistake, but in the end, it wasn't that hard at all. Btw, took the below route and took out the Amplifier with Norio, with around 15 game minutes left. I think I was around 2 minutes after best time.
Btw, I'm pretty sure now that Yuri's final weapon is actually the Death's Hand, not the Mental Omega Device.

Anyone have a good idea to break through the never ending soviet parade without using mind control?
As USA I couldn't do much aside from annoying them. And the Grumbles block the air entirely. I found no way to end the game.

Any idea on what happened/will happen to Malver after Obsidian Sands? I don't think Rashidi would leave a kill switch in his Chimera Core before betraying Yuri.

Nah, i myself not sure if Rashidi is behind Foehn. What i said is how Foehn "founded" upon treachery by violating WSA agreement in Juggernaut.
Poor Soviet.
Edit: Okay, Rashidi also made a pact with China, highly possible he is behind Foehn creation too

Just wait for mission briefing, i have a speculation that Malver died off screen with detonated cloaking device and maybe there's a hint on Neuromancers, i haven't try it yet.

Why do you guys think that failsafe in his portable chimera core is C4 charge? Its not like its can be remotely disabled by Yuri in case of such situation.

Maybe Yuri is forward thinking enough to know that if Rashidi does rebel against Epsilon, taking out one of Rashidi's most powerful assets immediately would be a huge advantage in quelling the uprising.

Though I'm in absolutely no position to criticize, I'd still like to complain a little bit about the level design of EP-20 Obsidian Sands.
1. Spread forces limits players' tactics. There's nearly no vacant space for staging an assault or flanking. Few tactic can be relied on other than spamming. For this campaign, due to the amount of mines and low resource, the only viable option seems to be sweeping the map with Basilisks and Invaders.
2. It's always nice to let players end the game when they can. It's both annoying and a waste of time for a player with invincible forces to clear the map full of Chimera Cores.
3. The balanced deployment of enemy units forces player to go toe-to-toe, making it more like a meat grinder in a game which favors micros than strategies.
4. From a strategic point of view, it's not logical for Rashidi, to deploy his troops in the middle of a desert. Although Scorpion Cell emphasizes ambush and stealth tactics, it's still foolhardy to spread his forces so evenly in the open, even with Chimera cores.
On the contrary, Allied coop Hypothermia is very well made. It's common practice to wall up in a city by setting up barricades, garrisons (and barrels). Furthermore, in this level players have countermeasures too, either employ artillery units or just cleave through with Battle Tortoises.
Suggestion: I'd be grateful if the enemy forces could be more concentrated, or gain some significant weaknesses at some sections, such as lack of AA or anti-infantry firepower.

I mean she can literally withstand Dybbuk-Es and Virus shots. Just need a Rage Inductor to keep her on top shape
EDIT : Btw, about Paranoia, there's a bug I'll forward later to the proper topic.

So far I've only beaten it once as Scorpion Cell. I snuck up with Malver and took out the Grumbles, and then just swept their base with Basilisks.
